Installation and permitting went well, SolarOptimum did a great job coordinating all aspects. They were available via email and text and followed up on all my questions. Local contractor did a great job and was available for any issues. System up is up running!!

The entire process went very smoothly and much quicker than I expected. Solar Optimum handled everything from permitting to PG&E coordination. Permitting took some time which isn't surprising once I saw the detail needed for submission. We also had an issue with the address (town, not SO problem) that SO handled for us. Installation took only 2 days for 25 panels with 1 day off for wind and rain. Final inspection was 2 days later, and within a week we were sending back to the grid. Planning and permitting was easy. Installation over 2 days with limited delays from weather. Inspections and permission to operate were complicated because we have a generator for storm resilience and so already had a disconnect in the panel. They worked with the inspectors and TECO to get extra labels and meet the request so that we got permission to operate. Easy for us as the home owner. Even though I decided not to go solar at this time, working with Jim at Solar Optimum was a great experience. He was personable and very knowledgeable on all aspects around solar, which was crucial for a newbie like me. Their pricing was also very competitive. Will definitely look into them again if I decide in the future to go solar.

Quote on the solar+battery installation over energy sage. Responses are pretty fast. The process is very smooth, Solar optimum helped to get permit applied and got approved very soon. Installation is smooth too, they also painted the tubes to the same color of the wall. Strongly recommended.

Had lots of back and forths on # of panels vs brand and had to upgrade the roof (their price and offering were unmatched by other contractors) but did have a minor leak in end, which they fixed promptly. Its a long process and they were patient and quick to respond. I wish some of the work looked a little better, but I think its more of an our house issue and perhaps a paint job would patch up the eye sores in spots.
I recently had solar and a battery installed by Solar Optimum, which I found through Energy Sage. The process started at the end of December when I signed the contracts (one for solar and one for the battery). Everything proceeded as expected. All work occurred on the day it was originally scheduled, weather permitting. The battery was back ordered so it got installed a few weeks later than the solar panels.
