Solar Optimum (SO) installed my system at the end of January of 2025. Overall, SO delivered on all aspects of the installation in a manner that was consistent with what SO outlined in its project plan. The process took ~2 months which was consistent with the timeline SO provided. SO communicated at appropriate intervals throughout the process, from the initial quoting, planning and installation. Solar Optimum was easy to work with throughout our solar expansion project. We had a few hiccups relating to the proposed size of the system (regulations required us to shrink it considerably), but that wasn’t their fault, and they kept the project moving forward. We’re very happy with the new system and would use Solar Optimum again.

Solar Optimum completed our solar application nearly two years before our installation could proceed so that we could get in before the NEM 2 deadline. Then they patiently waited for our home renovation to finish. Once we were ready, they promptly installed our system and only then did they charge us anything.

We were lucky enough to have a project that went pretty smoothly and quickly. Granted, this may not be everyone’s experience so make sure to ask question and time frames for each part of the project. They explained the standard time for each part which was helpful in what to expect so when the permits were pulled faster than expected and the utility approved the system within a few days it was a pleasant surprise. Pretty happy with the whole experience.

Out of all the companies, SO had the best price for some of the best components on the market. They weren’t very punctual when we scheduled phone calls, and they assigned us to someone who was not initial person to email us to set up discussions. Once we got through things and it was time to review the contract, things felt more heavy handed in terms of finalizing the contract. This is an update to my original review in which I was very upset that I had reached out to Solar Optimum on two separate occasions and got no response for their quote to be updated and reflect a Solar array that was not oversized for my house. Since the incident, I was contacted by both the Sales Manager, Randal and the Executive VP of Marketing, Rainier. Mason Brown was very helpful and knowledgeable. Answered every single one of my questions gave me multiple options for set ups. He would Answer every single call and text message. And believe me, those were a lot coming from an Overthinker. There was plenty of options out there for solar including the big name, Tesla who I was working with as well. We completed our project almost a year ago now and we are very very pleased with the results. Our utility bill is lowered a significant amount. Jose was a great help and the crew was knowledgeable.
