Worth a long drive for me. Dr Pisciotta knows as much about birds as any vet I have seen. He's willing to explain and tolerates my endless questions.

The kind and caring the doctors and staff at the Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital brought my sick parrot back from the brink of death and in a couple of days she is so much better but it is amazing! Doctors Green and Pisciotta are the BEST!!!

We had an impromptu visit to have two lumps checked out and have found our new favorite vet! Dr. Green was wonderful with our scaredy dog. We have a pitbull that wouldn't hurt a fly (literally) and it's so refreshing to visit with a vet that is comfortable handling her. We appreciated that she got down on the floor rather than forced our pup up on the tiny table. The gentleness and ease transcended to our dog -in the end making the entire affair enjoyable. I can't stress enough how thankful my husband and I are that we found Dr. Pisciotta and Rye Harrison Vet. The entire staff, including the help at the front desk, are amazing! Dr. Pisciotta is personable and knowledgeable & truly cares about the wellbeing of our beloved rabbit. He was the first person who could diagnose his ailment a couple of years ago after seeing several other vets in our area who couldn't tell us what was wrong. My 3 yo parrotlet, Lani, looked terrible---head in wing, eyes closed and looked funny. I called and was given an apt right away. I had been away and discovered her water bottle's ball was ​stuck in the nozzle​ and she couldn't​​ get​ any water. Her babysitter is excellent--I've had her take care of my birds since they were babies. Dr. John P. diagnosed her as being dehydrated and gave her subq infusion. There is not enough space for me to praise this practice. From the moment you call, the front office staff is immediately willing to help you whether it is making an appointment or reordering food or medicine. Doctor Fabiano is the most empathetic vet that I have met in years. He truly knows my pets and more importantly knows me. He had taken such special care of my dogs individually and it is truly amazing how he knows each one's personality. I was driving home from work and saw a white pigeon in the middle of a very busy major road, who was walking in a daze. It was obvious the pigeon may have been hit by a car. Cars went over the top of the pigeon, however, did not stop! I pulled my car over, got out, stopped traffic to pick up the pigeon that turned out to be a racing pigeon with bands on its legs. Have been coming here for 24 years with my parrot for treatment, boarding and annual checkups. Had used other vets before Rye Harrison and none were as knowledgeable and caring as these doctors. My bird is like a child to me and I trust his life to Dr. Pischotta and Dr. Green.
