Dr. John Pisciotta helped us make the sad but correct decision to put our Cockatiel out of her misery today. He was right on target with his diagnosis prior to his confirmation by needle aspiration. The doctor was thorough and compassionate. Before we made the decision of where to bring our bird we read many reviews including on Yelp. We appreciate that he didn't do anything that wasn't necessary and we didn't get charged for things that would not have made any difference in our Nigella's outcome. The bill was more than fa... read more
I have been coming here for years. Thankfully I live nearby and this is one of the few places which has exotic doctors on staff. I used to have a pet Pekin duck which they helped us take care of, even when she was attacked by a racoon. They gave her surgery and she lived out the rest of her days comfortably. I then had a pet rabbit...a beautiful and sweet brown Holland Lop. She passed away at only 5.5 yrs but she had always had teeth and GI problems. The doctors here were with me from the beginning when I first brough... read more
Blair Green is the best by far! Remembers my gerbil and takes care of her every time!! Highly recommended to anyone!!
I've been taking our family's cats to Rye Harrison Vet for 10+ years, and no matter the problem or concern, the veterinarians and their staff have always taken excellent care not just of the family pets, but of us too! These vets are not only talented but caring and compassionate, and are always willing to spend as much time as necessary with patient and owner - whether in the office or on the phone to help with a concern or treatment. They supported us through two years of treating one cat for chronic renal failure, and c... read more
We rescued a dog with a rather severe case of heartworm. If you know anything about heartworm, you know the treatment can kill the dog if they get a clot. These vets handled the whole treatment spectacularly- I was coached in every aspect of care at home, had all my calls returned, and my dog was cured and lived to see old age. The staff and vets are the best here. This is the best vet we've ever used.
Not only do I like this place because they are so close to where I live, but because they are well qualified and friendly. I just brought my cat there today, who is normally a quiet gentle creature, but turns into a snarling, growling angry beast when brought to the vet. They didn't seem to mind her bad behavior and took very good care of her, they even clipped her nails which was amazing because I was afraid she was going to claw the vet's eyes out! I definitely recommend this place to those of you looking for a quality ... read more
While living in Westchester County I believe this Veterinary Hospital is tops! These educated and friendly vets really take care of their clients pets! While you wait in the waiting room you are entertained with their friendly parrot that talks sometimes. (The parrot loves to meow or bark for a cookie!) Though, the receptionist usually tells him to be quiet. :)They are right on time with appointment and if an emergency, they will see your pet same day without appointment.( Always friendly no matter how busy. )They also inf... read more
My 15-yr-old dog and I have been going to this vet since we moved to the area, 18 months ago. Everyone was very welcoming, always said how much they loved my dog, yadda yadda. This past weekend, when they were closed, my dog started peeing blood and I knew it was time for her to go. Their emergency answering service was lovely and recommended some nearby emergency vets. That was Sunday. Come Tuesday, I thought it was odd that I hadn't heard from Rye Harrison, following up, expressing condolences for my loss--you know, being ... read more
Receptionists are a bunch of control freaks. They lie and have you wait on the parking lot with the excuse that they have many patients in the wait room. When I finally was allowed to come in, the wait room was empty Also, the music playing feels like you are in a disco place
Business response:
Hello Linda D., Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are so sorry to hear about your disappointment with us. The essence of our values and who we are all start with patient-centric compassionate care. Our curbside service is specifically engineered to keep our staff, clients, and families safe and socially distanced. We completely understand how challenging this can be. We would also like to apologize for your concern about the music that plays while you are on hold. Unfortunately, we don't have control over this... read more
