The Sandbar is a beautiful, tranquil, clean space and just what Cold Spring Harbor has been lacking all these years. We usually dine in Huntignton Village but ever since I'd heard about this place I'd been dying to try it. The seafood was amazing, we had the halibut, scallops and lobster and scallop ceviche. My husband had the burrata which was also perfect. We caught a drink after dinner and the bar was a great atmosphere and the bartender was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
Wait staff were so friendly and attentive. Food was very tastey. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ambiance was just lovely. Nice experience
This was my second visit to Sandbar, and I really enjoyed my experience both times. I would definitely consider getting their specials as there are usually pretty interesting. The preparation of their fish is fantastic and the veggie/side pairings are quite nice. While it is a bit on the pricey side, the atmosphere (comfortable, classy, and low-key) and food quality make the visit worth the price.
everyone at my table said that the food was some of the best they had ever had. The fish entrees were exceptionally fresh and delicious. Service was very good with the manager making a point to stop by our table to make certain that our meal was proceeding as desired.
Place is beautifully decorated. Server was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions for us...loved the scallops - so fresh and prepared perfectly!...The lemon pound cake for dessert was a great surprise how it was served...absolutely loved! Can't wait to go back..

Sometimes the reviews raise expectations above what the establishment is able to deliver. The environment, except for the noise level, is very nicely designed and furnished. Staff was welcoming and service oriented. Food is definitely a cut above in preparation and in presentation, but not ultra exceptional...the chef will not disappoint most demanding guests. It's a bit pricey but not out of range for the CSH gang! Give it a try, you 'll be happy you did especially for a special occasion.
Overall, a great experience. The place is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The beet salad was the only part of the meal that didn't really impress us. The scallops were amazing, as were the ricotta doughnuts for dessert. Our waiter was phenomenal.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food make for a lovely dining experience.
