I'm from NJ and was on Long Island with my daughter for a soccer match. I found Sandbar on Open Table and decided to give it a try. The place has a gorgeous nautical theme. It's upscale but did not come across as stuffy. Our waiter was good and mostly attentive (but disappeared for a little while). Food and drinks were tasty. My daughter devoured her scallops!!! We hope to return soon with the whole family.
Food was not as good as expected. Second time eating here and the food was good but not exceptional. Service, ambiance all nice but the main course was just OK. Desserts are great so I left smiling.
Been here multiple times since it opened and continue to go back. Food is great, staff is professional and attentive. Only complaint is that the pricing could be a tad lower. As a package it is great and the building is breathtaking.

The food was delicious with a great wait staff. We celebrated my husband's birthday and they made it a great night.
Generally Sandbar lives up to the chef's reputation. Right now it is the "go-to" place and can be too noisy at times. The food was very good and the ambience is great.
Made the reservation for on open table for our 2 year anniversary. The two of us had an incredible experience. The dos the service and the decor could not have been better. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Made great recommendations and we will both certainly be back whether for their specialty cocktails or outstanding food.
We have been to Sandbar a number of times and always pleased with the level of friendly service, consistent quality of food. Flavorful and simply delicious without being fussy. Highly recommended.
