Fresh preparations of great recipes..wonderful room..decor..service We will. Follow Guy. Reuge where ear he goes..highly recommended.
Everything was great except it was just way to loud between just restaurant bar but then the noise from the bar area . Hard to have a conversation
Perfect cocktail, great food and excellent service. Will be back...soon!
We have enjoyed the bar and the dining room at Sandbar. What stands out the most to me is the professionalism of the entire staff. They're all pros at what they do. The food is really good. I was in the mood for comfort food, so I ordered the chicken parm. Yum. I'm not a wine expert, but someone I dined with is. He was impressed with the wine options. It's a perfect display of "upscale casual."
I was somewhat nervous going to a highly rated restaurant from Newsday, and some of the yelp commentators were quite critical. I love to cook so I know a good restaurant when I find one, and sandbox is very good. We started with the yummy clam chowder, new england style, which was rich and creamy but not filled with corn starch or potatoes, so the clams actually are good. We then shared an order of the chick pea fries which were very good. I had the special tile fish, served with perfectly cooked vegetables, not an easy feat... read more
The food was unique, with many different and imaginative flavors. The only miss was the foie gras with white wine. These two do not go together. The service was right on; however, the food was served too quickly. The prices were a little high for this type of neighborhood restaurant. I would definitely go here again.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a great open uncluttered look. Service was good & lunch was delicious. Some of the pricing was strange however. $24 for a crab cake appetizer is high. I had a tart for dessert. Very tasty, but extremely tiny piece that needed some heating up. The crust needed a sharp knife to cut through. I would go back for drinks at the bar and/or lunch.
Had an early dinner here for New Years Eve with a price fix menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable. Will be back again.
Great dinner that included an amazing braised lamb shank. Terrific wine list. Service was very knowledgeable and friendly. The space felt warm and comfortable with exacting details. Will run back!
