The doctor in my opinion sucked. I saw him for not even 5 minutes and I'm still paying hidden fees I had no idea about. Not to mention I had paid already when before leaving.... now they're asking me to pay the same fee I paid when I was there... where did my money go?It was such a waste of time and money as the doctor put no effort into my first apt with him. Hi Daviana, There are no hidden "fees". The discrepancy, as explained, is that a payment was made in office for the regular PCP copay when the amount for Specialist Copay should have been collected. The balance owed is simply the difference between your PCP and Specialist copay amounts. Dermatology is always considered a "Specialty", no matter where you are seen. The doctor here was really such a jerk. The nurse was nice, asked my concerns, etc. When the doctor came in, i maybe spent 3 minutes with him. BEWARE of their billing practices. They decide, to their own benefit and not the patients, what the "description of services" and billing codes are without discussing it beforehand. For example, they put a pinpoint dot of liquid on my son's skin, called it a "destruction of lesion" despite the fact it took weeks for it to disappear on its own- it wasn't frozen or anything like that in the actual office- and slapped the highest $$ they could charge for it. Honestly the worst experience I've had. It was my first time visiting a dermatologist and wanted a general check up since it was my first experience. So an assistant first took me to a room and asked me what i'm visiting for and I said I wanted a general check up but I guess she felt annoyed by my answer and wanted me to be more specific. I saw Clearyderm Delray earlier in the week and had a 'freezing' of an area on my face. By Friday afternoon it was looking like there might be a problem. So I called at app 3 PM, and the office, which on the internet states it's open until 5, was on answering machine. A drive over there showed it was empty/dark. No Saturday hours. When i arrived the office admins told me i didn't have an appointment. I explained to then that i made an appointment through ZocDoc and they asked me what is that? I ended up waiting 1.5 hours for them to figure out what Zocdoc is. I was ultimately squeezed in as a walk in to see someone but it was very frustrating and a giant waste of time. I recently changed insurance and only had two options in my immediate area. Figured I'd be coming back to this place for a long time because I have reoccurring problems. This is the Boca Regional Hospital location. The lobby is huge with marble flooring. Front desk is nice enough. I'm let in after filling out paperwork and it's not crowded at all. This office never keeps an appointment and no one there worries about the inconvienence they cause you. I scheduled an appointment for a proceedure explaining that I was leaving town for a few months.
