If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have hormonal breakouts and occasionally get cystic acne. I had a cystic break out a few weeks ago and the pimples literally will not die no matter what I do. So, I decided to call up Schweiger Dermatology to inquire about out of pocket pricing (my new insurance doesn't take effect for a few more weeks). I told them I would be paying out of pocket and that I'm a new patient at the office. They told me the cortisone shot for the cysts would be $95. I had my appointment this morning and ... read more

My husband has been extremely happy with his doctor at Schweiger, so when I needed to see a derm, making an appointment here was a no-brainer. I have never been so disappointed with a doctor/doctor's office. I came down with a fever and developed a strange rash so I made an appointment at their Hoboken office. Even though I was the first appointment of the day, I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, and was informed the doctor was running late. After waiting in the exam room another 15 minutes, PA Newman entered, visibly r... read more

I try not to write poor reviews of folks in the medical field, however my experience at Schweiger was a seriously poor one. The first time I visited (February 2017) I had a mole on my calf biopsied as it had been removed before and was growing back. After about a week I was called and told that the lab couldn't determine whether it was cancerous or not, and that they wanted to take it anyway. The procedure with Todd Newman went fairly well, and I only experienced a bit of pain (wasn't fully numbed). The end result was an S... read more

It's taken me a long time to write this, but I had a truly horrible experience with this practice. I felt very taken advantage of - sold on procedures that cost a fortune and showed zero results. In retrospect, I believe the doctor performing them was completely unqualified. I was given far too much anesthesia to the point that the doctor walked in and gasped audibly when he saw my eyelids drooping to the degree they were. I saw a number of doctors and PAs here and never felt cared for. Unfortunately, I would strongly advise... read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience with this group. I would NEVER ever EVER return. I had my skin examined, which was fine. They performed a biopsy, which was fine. A week later I received a voicemail telling me to call back as soon as I could -- very unsettling. I called back - the first person I spoke to had no idea that anyone had called me - she put me on hold for ten minutes, then I was transferred. The second person I spoke to said my test results were back, but that she was unauthorized to give them to me. I was p... read more

I went to this location to get a mole inspected. I received a full body check which was OK except the PA completely missed a large mole on my foot during his check and said his "inspection method" missed that location. Fine. He moved on to look at the mole on my back. He made the claim that it was simply a pimple and asked me if I wanted him to take care of it for me. I said sure and he proceeded to use a small tool to attempt removing it. Upon trying it was discovered that is was not in fact a pimple and he asked me to... read more

Be careful with any bills you may receive in the mail despite insurance covering your entire visit. It was made out to be an honest mistake when my insurance conducted a conference call to resolve the issue, but it still baffles me why I would receive a bill. My gut says it was an attempt to defraud me but there's a small chance it was an honest mistake so just be cautious. The experience visiting the office was not a pleasant one either. The wait time was unusually long for having an appointment so early in the morning an... read more

Everytime I've come here, they can never properly diagnose my issue. They make me spend all this money, only to go to another derm and them figure it out immediately. They're seriously overpriced as well. They charge $250 for a cortisone shot (one pimple) whereas way higher end derms in the city charge $50. The front desk staff is rude. There are so many great dermatologists in this city, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had a wart on my thumb and went here 5 times to tried to have it removed. They did tried to freeze it off each time and nothing changed, but instead of doing something new, the doctor would just tell me to come back in 2 weeks to try the same thing. At first I thought it was just a very stubborn wart, but after the 5th visit I realized it was just incompetence. I went to another dermatologist, so I could get a second opinion and she said after the 2nd visit she would have tried somethi... read more
