SHADY billing practices!! They will play games with your insurance company and try to overbill them and you. I specifically made sure that they were in network before making my appointment. This was via their website and a call with the front desk. Fast forward, after my visit and I suddenly have a bill for hundreds of dollars - way more than my plan's $30 co-pay (which I took care of on site). So it's been a week since my daughters treatment at schweiger dermatology and it looks like despite them severely burning her skin without any care, the treatment wasn't effective... she still has a few visible pimples from the molluscum that weren't burned. Just moved to Hoboken and had a new patient appointment today and overall was not impressed with the PA that I saw. If I could give this review 0 stars, I would. Due to the pandemic, I received a text a day before my appointment saying to reply to the text when I got there for instructions on entering the building safely. Nobody replied to my message and I was waiting outside the building for 20 mins until a different building tenant exited so that I could enter the locked doors. Had 5pm appointment, but waited until 6:10 to be called. Waited another 15min in the exam room. Took 5min to exam. And I can tell doctor was rushed, and no interest in providing quality care. Waited another 20min so assistant can give me a pamphlet. All it all the experience want horrible.

Terrible experience with Laser Hair Removal here. I spent over $4,000 out-of-pocket for laser hair removal and got ZERO RESULTS. After many sessions, the office told me that the LENS of their laser machine WAS EXPIRED and that this was the reason the treatments were not working. I choose Schweiger for this procedure because I thought I could trust them. Never did I expect this major flaw from a board certified dermatology practice. DO NOT come here for any cosmetic procedures. I was told over the phone that microneedling started at $350 per session. Since that is in-line with other dermatologists (in the city), I booked the consultation- a prerequsite to cosmetic treatments. At my appointment, I was told it is $800 per session and that I should NEVER have been quoted a price over the phone as it is against their policy. The PA I saw actually said "we charge city prices". If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The medical personnel seem to know what they are doing. However, everything surrounding them is about as awful as it gets. The people at the front desk, as others have mentioned, will treat you like a complete idiot. Upon asking about how my insurance would match up with proposed treatment, the receptionist shook her head at me, and, with a voice one would use with a toddler, explained that she did not know. Extremely disappointed with their service. After going there for a very routine procedure, I was greeted by a $550 lab bill in the mail from a third party lab in NYC about two months later. This is particularly disturbing since I addressed this concern with the staff, and I was reassured they work with in-network labs that accept my insurance. I'm sure this place is great for cosmetic dermatology but please don't go if you have an actual problem. I was misdiagnosed by 2 separate PAs and it made my condition much worse than it should have been.
