I had high hopes for this practice but was let down. Waited 20 minutes, appointment was rushed and I wasn't even examined. After telling Dr Gordon the issues I was having he asked me 1 question and sitting about 2 feet away he didn't even bother to take a closer look at the issues on my hands and face. The appointment was literally 4 minutes and he rushed out scurrying the next patient's room. What a waste of time and a referral.

I don't normally write reviews of any kind. However, I am so UPSET right now with this practitioner that I feel it was necessary. My first (and last) appointment was mediocre at best, (Medical Doctor's condescending attitude and inept staff that didn't even know how to work with my insurance), so I decided not to go back. I cancelled my next appointment over the phone, and I just found out they sent my account to collection for a $70.00 "no-show" charge to an appointment that I cancelled. I have reviewed for this doctor previously but would like to review again due to the great experience I have had with Dr.Walghren. I have had horrible acne for years (I'm now 27) and she has been working consistently with me for the last year to help get my skin under control. I am so pleased with her kind and professional manner and would definitely recommend her.

The staff was nice and so was the doctor, my issue is I had an elective procedure done,very expensive but after my evaluation I was told I would have great results so I made my appointment. When I returned for my 2 week check up (which I was charged for) I expressed my disappointment as my results were far from satisfactory. This office is cattle-car medicine at it's worst. The office is full of people in the waiting room and the "waiting room" is named appropriately because, when I visited, I waited forever to be seen, only to be rushed through my appointment. I don't mind waiting if I get the attention I'm paying for once I'm finally seen by a doc. This is a dual review - and important to me as the connection between medical skin care and cosmetic skin care are integrated in my mind. Dr. Justin Gordon is delightful, empathetic, clear about skin issues and treatment, and his knowledgeable medical advice is invaluable in keeping me cancer free and skin healthy. Dr Gordon was professional and spoke to me as an equal answering all my questions and supplying specific diagnosis/information. I was concerned about some areas and they were not serious - phew! Unethical practice of not explaining treatment choices and costs before doing treatment then charging outrageous amounts. They would not even compromise when I disputed the charges. They would not accept a payment plan but threatened me with ruining my credit rating if I did not pay in full.

This office is highly impersonal. It seems more suited to a big city than to the Monterey Peninsula. I had to wait 40 minutes to be seen for an appointment scheduled early in the morning and when I stated this to Dr. Wahlgren, she gave the excuse that she had been there since 7:30 am and a patient before me had a difficult anesthetic. She was so uncaring; I don't take my clothes off for just anybody! I won't go back.

I have been going to Carol Rosenthal for my skin care. She is so professional and really knows about skin care. I get compliments on my skin all the time and I owe it all to Carol. She is the best!
