Dr. Wahlgren (now married, and goes by a different name, but I can never remember it), is the absolute best! I've been coming here for two years to get Botox after initially going to the Salinas location. Absolutely DO NOT go to Salinas! The Salinas location charged me $600 to do what Dr. Wahlgren could do for $180. She has a very gentle hand, and only does what is necessary, she talks to you, and tells you honestly if you need the procedure or not. I paid my $40 co-pay to see a dermatologist about having a wart on my palm removed. He said no problem- burned it off, and I was on my way. A couple weeks later I received a bill for almost $200 calling my wart removal: skin surgery. What a Mutha Lickin' rip off!!! Californai Skin Institute on 9871 Blue Larkspur Lane is the Doctor's on Duty of Dermatology. Wait longer, get in to see someone with a legitimate practice.

This is a mixed review. Because I go to this shop for dermatology and have been pleased. However, I went there to get my eyelids cosmetically corrected and was more than disappointed. I had a doctor who, unbeknownst to me, had one foot out the door. The procedure was done with a local and my left eye is perfect. However, during the right eye procedure the local started wearing off. Instead of giving me more, he just didn't do the eyes the same. I knew I should've listened to the reviews when I was on here but I decided to listen to a friends suggestion. I regretted this immediately. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the young doctor who helped me but I left feeling very defeated. I had recently been dealing with some acne issues that had never been a problem for me, even in my teens. Been seeing Julie since August for laser hair removal. I can not describe how happy I am with my results. Every treatment is quick and relatively painless (even when there is pain she has me laughing through it). She has made my entire experience incredibly comfortable.

Showed up early and waited for 1/2 hour past my appointment time. Waiting any longer would have made me late for the rest of my day's appointments. I told the receptionist that I'd have to reschedule. She stated that she was going to have to charge me a "no-show" fee. What?! I'm standing right in front of you. The Doctor is a no-show. She persisted. I did not get charged but I can't even tell you how disrespected I felt. The desk staff should all be sent to customer service training. Rude!

I would prefer to give CA Skin Institute ZERO stars. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I had an appointment with Dr. Crispin for a procedure. Arrived on time and was informed I had to reschedule my appointment because I didn't arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to be prepped for my procedure however I was never informed to arrive early. Despite being referred to this office for a serious medical condition, they refused to see me for being twelve minutes late. There was an accident on highway 68 and I called twice, but their phone indicated they were closed. When I arrived, the lady was sitting at the desk next to the phone, but evidently only answers the phone at her convenience. A friend has been going to the Los Gatos location so since I live in Hollister I decided to go south to Monterey. After finally getting an appointment I was informed the first appointment is a consultation. When I left my home this morning I realized that to my knowledge, I had not received a confirmation.
