Been seeing Julie since August for laser hair removal. I can not describe how happy I am with my results. Every treatment is quick and relatively painless (even when there is pain she has me laughing through it). She has made my entire experience incredibly comfortable.

Showed up early and waited for 1/2 hour past my appointment time. Waiting any longer would have made me late for the rest of my day's appointments. I told the receptionist that I'd have to reschedule. She stated that she was going to have to charge me a "no-show" fee. What?! I'm standing right in front of you. The Doctor is a no-show. She persisted. I did not get charged but I can't even tell you how disrespected I felt. The desk staff should all be sent to customer service training. Rude!

I would prefer to give CA Skin Institute ZERO stars. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I had an appointment with Dr. Crispin for a procedure. Arrived on time and was informed I had to reschedule my appointment because I didn't arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to be prepped for my procedure however I was never informed to arrive early. Despite being referred to this office for a serious medical condition, they refused to see me for being twelve minutes late. There was an accident on highway 68 and I called twice, but their phone indicated they were closed. When I arrived, the lady was sitting at the desk next to the phone, but evidently only answers the phone at her convenience. A friend has been going to the Los Gatos location so since I live in Hollister I decided to go south to Monterey. After finally getting an appointment I was informed the first appointment is a consultation. When I left my home this morning I realized that to my knowledge, I had not received a confirmation. I called the office on my way in the car. No one answered the phone so I left a message stating my concern and asking them to return my call. I would give zero stars if I could. After waiting 30 mins in the lobby I was told my appt had to be either a skin cancer screening OR checking a spot I had a concern about. Ridiculous. The actual skin cancer screening took 5-10 mins tops. Why could she NOT check my other area of concern??? So they can bill more. Reception was nice. Assistant was curt. Dr was meh. If you are trying to make an appointment with any of the Drs in this medical group good luck! I've left several messages on their voicemail because they never answer their phones, and even though the message says they'll call you back within 24 hours, they actually never return phone calls. I've been trying to make an appointment for both me and my daughter (we are both returning patients) and it seems like they're just not interested. I'll be taking my business to an office with better customer service.

Carol Rosenthal is absolutely the best! She always takes the time to ask about how my skin is doing and always does her utmost to be sure I get the results that I am looking for. I have been coming to Carol for at least 5 years to do dermasweep and other treatments on my face, however, there have been too many treatments to recall all the names of those treatments! I was a patient of Monterey dematologist Dr. Gorelick for years. He retired. My treatments were simple and quick...freeze off a few skin spots that were from too much sun when young (worked farms/ranches in H.S. without skin protection). Excellent doctor. So? So I had a few skin areas on face and neck I wanted to have frozen (they use a liquid nitrogen spray bottle). I made appointment. Was seen pretty fast (within about 1 1/2 weeks)...good.
