Jon spent about 30 minutes with me and gave some great advice on how to proceed with my remodeling. He saw the big picture and suggested a better approach, knowing it would cut himself out of the process. He was honest, patient, helpful with all my questions, and completely professional. When the time comes to replace the windows in my house, Jon will be the first person I call. No work performed.
Excellent. John came to give me estimate and was right on time and professional. Then two other men came to install. They did all the work from the outside since it involved five new first floor kitchen windows. They cleaned up extremely well and were fast. They came back the next day when I called about one section they had forgotten to caulk. This company is very well organized and responsive. Personal treatment and the price was good. They have a good product and it sells.
John came to my home to give an estimate and showed examples of the windows. John was very nice and didn't pressure. I was given a 6-8 week time frame from when the order was placed, to when the windows would be installed. The install was right on schedule and all of the windows were installed in one day. Great salesperson, John. Super nice guy and seems like a very high quality product. The price was right on target. Would have chosen to go with Scientific, but a similarly rated Angie's list company offered a slightly more competitive price for a window with a brand name and similar energy efficiency specs. Seems like a very honest company and I would not hesitate to call them in the future for work. Replace 9 basement windows. Remove glass brick, haul away debris, and build wood buck frames.
Fast, friendly, easy. Was hard to find a window place that would repair windows with double pane, low-e glass. One of three I got out of the phone book, looked them up on Angie's. Of the three, Scientific has a good rating. They also have parking and will carry the windows for you. Repaired two broken double pane windows.
This is the fourth time that I have used Scientific Windows for replacement storms. They consistently perform well. The product is a little more expensive than one from a Big Box store, but it is heavier and changing the screens and storms is easier. I had a problem with one of the windows and they came and adjusted it. They installed external triple track screen/storms for all my old windows.
The windows and installation were fine. We feel the price was high, but it is more costly to do a few windows than many at once. The completion of the job was delayed a few weeks do to them being busy, but this did not affect our project too much. Overall, I was relatively pleased with Scientific Windows. John, our salesman, was great, and the installers did their work efficiently. I had two areas of concern. First, they made one of the basement windows wrong, but John said that they'd replace it if we'd like. Second, we aren't loving the aesthetics of the installation since the windows are only caulked in without any trim. John said that this is typical for most basement hopper windows in older homes. In the end, we're pleased. We had three basement windows replaced.
Independent company that was very easy to work with. We looked at several companies to do the work and got a ''hard sell'' from them. Scientific did not. I was unable to be at the appointment to get the estimate. Other companies refused to set up the appointment unless I was present. Scientific did not. They met with my wife and left enough information for me to take part in the decision. The installers were on time (30 minutes early). They completed the job in one day and did fine work.
