Husband & I recently moved to SC and this was our 2nd visit to Ela's. The food is fantastic and the area and scenery speaks for itself. Definitely on our list of returns. Employees are friendly and service great.
Went on a Monday night with friends. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful as is the view outside. The server was a pro - new everything about every dish. The food was delicious, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It was the first time to the restaurant for all of us and every person in the party can't wait to go back.
Good restaurant. Lobster nachos were excellent. Crab cakes were good, but expensive ($32) given the size (small), and given that the NY strip (excellent) was the same price.
The 4 of us adults had a combination of 7 different appetizers, 4 were shared and 3 as part of their main course. All were delicious and beautifully presented. My main course of scallops with crab risotto will be worth looking forward to the next time. This was our first experience with ELA and we will return. The wait staff was very good with our 3 and 1 year old with us too.
The best food and dining experience we had on our weeklong vacation. We were so impressed with Ela's-our new HH favorite. Can't wait to return.
I would recommend this restaurant to any one looking for a great view, friendly service and great food. There is a variety a good variety of entrees and the wine list is excellen is extensive. We have been going to HHI for for over 20 years and this is the best.
This restaurant is trapped by the awful industrial architecture of the whole resort. The inside is institutional, and where they sat us outside was dominated by the noise of an industrial airconditioner. That's understandable — it's the South, so it's hot, so machines are needed. But worse was the new age noise perfume which was piped to every inch of the indoor and outdoor space.
Food was good. But service was unattentitive and slow. Would try again tho since food was so good.
Ate here for the first time and it was one of the best meals I've had on the island. We sat outside with a beautiful view of Shelter Cove. All of the food was creative and the flavors were delicious. Will definitely come here again.
