Overall service was very good, both fish dishes were a bit over cooked. Good flavor, and presentations. Wine list is very favorably priced, compared to other restaurants.
Excellent food that was well prepared in a very creative manner. If you order the fired green onions prepare to share, very generous potions. Wine list was interesting and very fairly priced. Very attentive and appropriate service. Come at sunset for wonderful views.
Stumbled on Ella's while looking for new place to eat on Hilton head , walked in 1/2hr early for a stop at their Barr , very nice wine selection and nice atmosphere ,bar tender very informative about menu items . ordered the special thunderclap oysters on half shell . Our favorite place on the island. We have recommended ELA'S to friends and family. The owner and staff treat you like family. The calamari is the best I have had.
We made a reservation at Ela's Blu Water after finding great reviews on Open Table and Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. We arrived early and sat at the bar to have a drink and an appetizer. The bartender was friendly and made a great drink. After sitting down to dinner we were very happy with our meals. The grouper was fresh and seasoned well and the crab cakes were not overly seasoned. The Crab Cakes were outstanding, Also the tuna tartar was as well. This is our outdoor dinning location with views of Shelter Cove harbor and Board Creek.
We took a friend of ours from Hilton Head for dinner on Wednesday evening. The food was very good--all three of us had different fish dishes. Wine was priced reasonably--to the point that we ordered a bottle rather than a glass--Rombauer Chardonnay. I was particularly impressed that Ela's did not gouge patrons on wine pricing The view out over the marina and water was magnificent. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
My husband and I went there for Valentine's Day. The food was fabulous and the service was perfect.
We went there over the Valentines weekend. My husband got a bone in ribeye that could be cut with a butter knife, i had the pork wraped in bacon it was wonderful. The restaurant has a great view and romantic atmosphere. If you are visiting or a resident of Hilton Head it is a must go to.
