Server was awful! He needs lessons on how to serve! Waited 1/2 hour just for him to take drink order. Another 20 minutes to take the order. He has no idea what he’s doing! 2 meals horrible. One was ok. Won’t go back anytime soon!
We were very excited about eating here on our vacation. Great location overlooking the marina, but we felt the menu was very overpriced and food was average at best.
For years ELA’S has been our favorite restaurant. This lad experience was extremely disappointing. Our table was in the bar even with a reservation, and this particular time we brought our family and the service and food was very disappointing for a check of $300.00. The fish entrees were over cooked and not prepared as described in the menu. The steak in “surf and turf” had so much gristle it was not edible and the tail was very small. Took my wife for her birthday (told restaurant it was special occasion) The location is nice as is the décor. Our server was efficient. Restaurant is pricy-we expected experience to match price but did not. Drinks were fine. Appetizer we shared was fine. Wife's caesar salad was disappointing. uncut romaine drizzled with dressing and store bought croutons, Never offered pepper or parmesan for it. We were disappointed with the food overall and the service we experienced. Prices suggest both should be much better. Will not return.
I ordered the grouper entree. It was over cooked and dry.
Will not be going back any time soon
We were celebrating a birthday, anniversary and new baby. Elas didn’t offer a compliment dessert or anything! Too expensive 200+ for 4, just meals. Food wasn’t anything special. Service wasn’t great. Won’t recommend or be back. We were the only table occupied at 6:00 pm in the whole restaurant.
We made reservations on Opentable based on availability and restaurant description while on the road for 7 hours heading to Hilton Head. The restaurant is listed as casual and priced moderately. IT WAS NOT. We were seated next to the kitchen away from the nicer view. Otherwise it’s a Great restaurant for a nice dinner out or a special occasion. My grouper dish was very good and most of my party enjoyed their food.
