Really looked forward to the Lobster Avocado Martini ($14) but had to hunt for both the lobster and avocado! It had a great taste but was mostly chopped lettuce and tomatoe. The promised 1&1/2" thick halibut came out as 2 thin slices. Great flavor again but disappointed in quality of fish. My sugar snap peas were over cooked and brown while my dining partners were perfect. Go figure. Would not go back. Great seating outside. Good views.

The atmosphere was great but food sub par. My husband orderered Caesar salad which was swimming in dressing and the $14 focaccia margarita pizza that was obviously store bought. It was tiny with diced tomatoes and purple onion. That is not a margarita pizza. I had surf and turf which was 3 large shrimp (burned) with tenderloin (overlooked) served over grits. Nowhere in the description did it say anything about the terrible sauce over the entire $36 dish. It was similar to barbecue sauce.

After being seated outside next to the only other table of (loud) people, our server promptly took our drink and appetizer orders. 15 minutes later, with no appetizers, I had to go inside and ask for her to come back and take our lunch order. 20 minutes after that, the waitress came back to apologize saying "You guys are going to really be mad at me but I forgot to place your order." When the food finally arrived, the bisque and remoulade sauce both had skins formed meaning they had probably been sitting for awhile. The plac... read more

Ate at Ela's last year & remember it being good; not so this time. Either server did not know how dishes were prepared or chef changed things up but the shrimp ceviche did NOT contain avocado, and seemed more like cooked shrimp in some sort of tasteless juice - I can't imagine how real ceviche could not have some zing to it - a lot of shrimp siting on some shredded iceberg lettuce - was really tasteless. Crab cakes should be called "crab discs", no discernible crab, tasted like the deep fried breading and sauce that came wit... read more

This was suppose to be a nice Mother's Day Brunch with my husband. But, Ela's is probably the worst place we have been to for Brunch. The selections were very limited and the portions hideously small. I ordered the Lobster/Asparagus Fritta. The "lobster" was immitation and the eggs bland, with a fishy taste. No cheese added to make them creamy or tasteful. My husband got the Crab Eggs Benedict and they were, as well, hideously small. I don't even know where you find eggs that tiny? We know Mother's Day is a big day to make mo... read more

As a local, we were excited to try this restaurant - due to the beautiful location. The restaurant was fairly empty, and we asked for outside seating. An older man in a white jacket merely said "NO" - no explanation or apology. Was he the owner? Manager? Maitre D? When we left, he never said thank you, or asked about our meal. The menu was uninspiring, and the food flavorless. Prices are high for the food to be so mediocre. The table service was good, although it took the kitchen a long time to get the entrees out. We keep h... read more

Unfortunately we didn't. Very slow service. Half of our food order (4 people) got "lost" in the kitchen. Food was at best OK. Not a good dining evening.

Very expensive for average food. Limited menu. Nothing special.

Our first visit was not very enjoyable, unfortunately. They started by telling us what they did NOT have on the the menu that evening, which was pretty much half if the items. What we ordered was not very good I'm sorry to say, but the restaurant WAS lovely!
