Very expensive for average food. Limited menu. Nothing special.
Our first visit was not very enjoyable, unfortunately. They started by telling us what they did NOT have on the the menu that evening, which was pretty much half if the items. What we ordered was not very good I'm sorry to say, but the restaurant WAS lovely!
Food was ala carte and terribly overpriced. whole scored flounder was ordered and two filets over-battered were delivered.
Highly disappointed. I was celebrating a wedding anniversary. Sent two plates back. My wife's sword fish was hardly cooked. Very ordinary place. Table next to us was sending plates back as well. My wife did not care for the white wine either. Service (waitress) and view nice.just very bad food. And that's the main reason you go to a restaurant. spend your $150 elsewhere.
We found the restaurant, which has a wonderful view of Broad Creek and the Shelter Cove Marina, to be way over priced. The service was terrible. We had to chase our server down twice just to get silverware. The "featured" crab cakes were dry, and the rest of the food was okay, but not great. Save your money and go somewhere else!
I did not even select scenic view since it was not worth the money. Numerous times during our trip we laughed about our mistake in going to Ela's. Too overpriced. Better food and pricing at The Old Oyster Factory in Hilton Head instead. It was very warm in the Ela's restaurant. After being out in the hot sun I wanted a nice comfortable dinner indoors. The view was fantastic but the food was ok and a bit pricy. They need to figure out how to regulate the room temperature. As the evening went on the room got hotter and hotter. Have been to many better restaurants on Hilton Head.
Food was good but not worth the price. The service was OK. Half of our party of got their food 15 minutes before the others.
One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. It was 82 degrees (literally) and the owner was unapologetic. Despite being asked (twice) to come to the table, after 25 minutes he still didn't. After walking downstairs to confront him, explaining this and that our waitress did not EVER think to refill our wine or our water, and that we spent 2 hours there (with 7 and 10 year old), he didn't apologize again and did not think we should get any discount at all.
