I wish there was a zero star rating. Literally the hardest company I have ever worked with. I've owned businesses for 9 years and NEVER had any business with such a horrible customer service! Hidden fees, horrible to get in touch with a person. My deposit should be around $2000 for the weekend and it's $963! They have no answers. The chat option on the app is a joke. Nobody ever answers it.

My company worked with Shift4 for about 4 years before we closed our business down. As we were closing down and preparing to get labels to send their equipment back, I learned that I was in a contract for additional two years that I never signed for, but my employee did without knowing. I am filing this complaint because of unfair and predatory billing practices by Shift4 Processing. I have been a loyal customer for over 14 years. This company is a complete rip off the charge fees on top of fees on top of fees by the very end you are in business just to pay their fees. Merchant fees, Monthly fees, Outrageous annual fees and you better cancel at the very end of your yearly cycle because to cancel even 4 days after is another 500+ cancelation fee on top of the annual f800+ annual fee. First of all they charge a $250.00 annual fee after they promised there would be no annual fees, They deducted this without my permission. Once they tried charging me twice for the same fee. They also have a compliance fee they charge charge twice a year also $250.00. There representative have lied to me numerous times over the phone. DO NOT USE THE PROCESSSOR. It has been a nightmare from the first day.

They have been processing my credit cards for my restaurant for many years. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY They have been overcharging me for a long time with an effective rate of 4.15 %. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I've been with them for sometime and im always frustrated when calling for help. They have hidden fees. Though customer service is friendly, they barley know solutions to issues. I one time had a solution that you would've thought technical support would've suggested. My sales manager is in another State in which is never available to help me with issues. Just got off the phone with Shift 4 to cancel our account. Plan way ahead to cancel as they are going to stick you with all kinds of ******* to their performance, we had daily problems with their system. We spent over a year trying to get a second kitchen screen, they failed to be able to supply a functioning screen. This was the final straw to close our account with **********************. Good luck getting any help from technical service as all calls are send overseas.
