I recently filed a BBB complaint regarding a domain name transfer to my GoDaddy account that was taking weeks to finish. I had attempted to reach the company practically multiple times/ways every day during that time period, left specific instructions on what was needed, & still was unable to get anywhere. I had been with 3dCart/Shift4 for 6+ years & never had issues with their service prior to this, but I felt the only thing I could do was file the complaint. They have been processing my credit cards for my restaurant for many years. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY They have been overcharging me for a long time with an effective rate of 4.15 %. I know its my fault for not checking and switching companies sooner, but you would think they would take care of loyal customers not take advantage of ******* now I'm switching processers and they are charging me early termination ******** its time to return their equipment and its been a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I've been with them for sometime and im always frustrated when calling for help. They have hidden fees. Though customer service is friendly, they barley know solutions to issues. I one time had a solution that you would've thought technical support would've suggested. My sales manager is in another State in which is never available to help me with issues. Instead he loles to text conversations and not return calls.I have requested numerous times to change my sales manager and still months have... read more

Just got off the phone with Shift 4 to cancel our account. Plan way ahead to cancel as they are going to stick you with all kinds of ******* to their performance, we had daily problems with their system. We spent over a year trying to get a second kitchen screen, they failed to be able to supply a functioning screen. This was the final straw to close our account with **********************. Good luck getting any help from technical service as all calls are send overseas.

Shift 4 / Future POS -Employees are either knowledgeable, helpful, and kind or they have zero clue how to fix issues and are very rude and disrespectful. Call time can be up to 1.5 hours , it is frustrating when 3/4 of the employees are rude and have no idea what they are doing .

I originally signed a contract in 2017, and in 2024, they renewed it without providing any prior notification. I strongly advise small business owners to steer clear of Shift4. They are nothing short of scammers who take advantage of small businesses with predatory contracts. After they acquired my previous processor, ***, I was forced into their service without consent or a choice to opt out. Despite never even using their services, I was slapped with a $1,000 cancellation fee when I tried to terminate the agreement.Their contracts are designed to be nearly unbreakable, trapping small businesses in unfair terms. I have a restaurant with this company as we speak. We were a new business and have already lost close to $3,000 perhaps more. The customer service will not allow us to speak to any upper management its absolutely impossible to get anywhere and to anyone else to speak with with out an attorney stepping in. I am so disgusted and not happy with this company I can't believe it.
