Shift 4 is a must have for any business with a night audit process. Pros: The software is so easy to learn and use. Cons: I cant think of anything I would change at all. It seems to be perfect for us. Overall: It put all the numbers we need together to make sure that our night audit is correct. It makes the whole process easy as can be.

I recently filed a BBB complaint regarding a domain name transfer to my GoDaddy account that was taking weeks to finish. I had attempted to reach the company practically multiple times/ways every day during that time period, left specific instructions on what was needed, & still was unable to get anywhere. I had been with 3dCart/Shift4 for 6+ years & never had issues with their service prior to this, but I felt the only thing I could do was file the complaint. I did so with my work email address so Shift4 could reach me & I don't currently have access to the complaint itself, so I just wanted to say that my complaint was not only resolved, but I was actually impressed that their legal support team reached out to me personally & was willing to take notes on how I felt they can better handle this situation in the future. I'm happy to report that our domain name was finally transferred shortly after my complaint was filed & everything is good now. Thank you to both the BBB & Shift4 for your assistance in resolving this matter.

"Very Flexible... Easy to Use" What do you like best? Allows for real-time electronic payment authorization and reporting. It is easy to control and a very flexible system which is a wonderful feature. I love the web-based capabilities which are nice to be able to access data from an alternate location (home office). So far it is a very secure network which is always important when handling so much personal information of our customers. The reports available are easy to use, easy to read and print well. The process is very fast / the program works quickly. What do you dislike? Pricing is very unclear unless you are already using the program. I think it is comparable to other software out there but it is hard to tell depending on what you are utilizing it for. I do wish we could access more than 24 months of past data... it is only necessary around tax time so far but sometimes a pain when we need to view old data. Customer service is not that great when we have needed assistance. In the past they are not very helpful and then do not get back to you with a solution. Hold times are pretty long which is never a good thing. Recommendations to others considering the product: Do your research... this program is not for every business. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I enjoy the instant information that is available when processing payments. It allows for easy audits and tracking of data. Being able to access data right away is the most important thing for us. It assists us in knowing what our cash / income is on a daily, weekly, monthly, etc basis.

"payment provider that has a personal touch" What do you like best? I like that payment processor integration was easier that expected and robust logging. What do you dislike? Sometimes creating an integration required creating custom certificates which were complicated. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? "Credit card provider" What do you like best? They seem to protect the data flow very well to prevent PCI issues. What do you dislike? The integration with our software was somewhat rocky due to poor implementation. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are using them because our client requested using them as a payment provider.

"Average But Useful" What do you like best? It’s easy to use, they have terminals you can put at tables for customers to pay. What do you dislike? How much it costs. So many fees if you aren’t card processing .
