Then they emailed me stating it hasnt been returned and they want thousands of dollars - They also wanted $6k for transferring gift cards to my new company that charges 1/3 less than them

They flat out lie about features during the sales process, and lie about having responsive developers that are quick and ready to add any features customers need. ********************** is missing some VERY BASIC functionality. They lock you into a contract and throw you to the wolves because they no longer care about you. You are locked in, they know it, and they just don't care about your business.

I am extremely disappointed with Shift4’s handling of case T3352155 involving a $9,876.00 loss tied to a pre-compliance/chargeback matter. Shift4 confirmed in writing that the pre-compliance case had a hard response date of 12/25/2025, that it was issued by Global Pay, and that Shift4 could not issue any form of credit. We originally were going to sign up with this company regarding credit card processing. Since we started it took 4 months for them to try to get the system for us up and running. I started with Shift 4 on in May of 2022. No real complaints about the service until our terminal went dead. They upgraded out terminal to sky tab. The sky tab did not fit our business and my employees had a lot of issues with it. I was told that was the only terminal available.
