Shift 4 payment raised their fees during the corona virus pandemic without notice. In April they charged us 7% in CC fees up 4% from prior months. we are a mom and pop restaurant and are only doing 1/3 of the business we did before and we are paying 4% more in fees to shift 4 during this time. they are stealing from restaurants who are struggling to survive. they switched from a monthly withdraw for fees to daily, how does this help our cash flow? it does not, it only hurts. beware everyone; do not partner with shift 4; go s... read more

Horrible. Absolutely HORRIBLE. This company, through their own error, took over $1500 from one deposit. No notification from them prior to seizing our funds, and since then, now THREE months later, NOT ONE RETURNED CALL and definitely no return on the funds. THIS IS A HORRIBLE INSTITUTION, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, AND NO FOLLOW THROUGH. They should receive a Zero Star rating. Their standard answer for THEIR MISTAKE IN SEIZING OUR FUNDS is "you can apply for it back in your 2021 tax return." Absolute CRIMINALS.... read more

This company makes it almost impossible to cancel your account with them, 15 minutes of transfers and being on hold to be told they can't cancel because 3 months left on contract and have no way of setting up to close account prior to contract end?? Ok? so what window of time does one have to call if it can't be set up early and contract auto renews for another 2 years at end of each 2 year period?? Ridiculous. Leaves me with no option but to contact corporate via certified mail.

Poor customer support. Poor technical support. Quoted a certain amount to cancel and took double the amount quoted. Told me it was my fault I should have read the fine print after the supervisor told me the price. wouldn't recommend them to an enemy.

It’s too bad that the rating for this company isn’t based off of what the customer reviews state. This company is very sneaky, immoral and has no respect for their customers once you sign their contract. I’ve been with them for 8 years because I was tied into a contract that on page 13 section A paragraph ???, it states that I’m auto renewed. After several years of faulty equipment and tech support I’m still being charged $2,300 to cancel my account and there’s nothing I can do about it. I only left this review to warn other... read more

My background: Business Manager with AS, BA, and MBA in Finance. Awful company. Avoid at all costs! But, if you manage to get locked into a contract make sure that you threaten to end the contract and talk them out of any and all fees that you can. When you threaten to leave, they will bend over backwards and reduce fees. Wait until your contract runs out and then get out as fast as you can. They have random fees that pop up without your knowing and you either have to pay them or you can pay the cancellation fee which is typ... read more

I signed up more then 3 years ago. The sales rep stated that if I process my credit cards with them I would be able to get a rebate for $500. I have signed paperwork stating this and its now been passed 3 years and never received my rebate.. the company is lying and denying of such promotion. I let that go.... after many many calls in to resolve issue. Before my auto renewal on my agreement I called in customer service and asked how to go about to canceling my agreement with Harbortouch. Im just another small business man taken for a ride by this horrible unethical business. They prey on small businesses and auto-renew 2-3 year contracts with ZERO notification. I missed the cut off by 2 weeks and there is absolutely no recourse and no deferment. Buyer beware. There is no upside to this company. On top of the lies i was told about the features of the POS system i signed for (all lies) the fees for processing go up constantly and without notice. Sad to see the unethical companies still around.

Beware! Avoid this company at all costs!! Horrible customer service! They would mark automatically Your equipment “automatically installed” and start your free 30 day without telling you that! And before you know it you free trial period is over and you’re locked into 3year service agreement.. Just saw that other people we’re having same issues.. we’ll nothing else to do but fight in a court..
