Their internal staff training has to be zero for such a pathetic response they provide without fail. High charges, unexplained fees, taking forever to resolve a simple matter... this is the typical shift4 for you.
DO NOT USE this company. Everything that was promised was a lie. I was told no fees just a % of the total. Guess what I have a $25 every month plus a higher % than promised. They won't let me out of the so called contract.

I called in to suspend my account as we had to close temporarily back in november and was told they would suspend my charges and refund what i was charged as i actually closed in august. Not only did they continue to charge me my price more then tripled they said because of inactivity fees. I called and talked to someone again and they said thats the way it works i cant suspend my account. This is the absolute worst business i ever had to deal with. Worst company ever, they over charge on credit card processing fees, then when you try to cancel the service they would take very long time to reply and to cancel the service, I DO NOT RECOMEND IT STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I wish I could give zero stars. I have never in my life dealt with such an incompetent horrible in-human company. I understand contracts and everything else. However, when I contacted them to close my account December 2, 2022, I was told that was no problem that they would send in the information to do this. Omg. The BS to cancel , phone calls and more calls, took fees for past 2 months after was told account was closed, now blaming me telling didn’t fill out correctly, now again telling me never emailed my closure, constantly transferring to others, making you repeat all info, speaking to people telling you they don’t have access to account. Iam done with them, they can keep my $500 not worth the hassle to recoup my money, beware dealing with this company
I HAVE BEEN USING SHIFT 4 FOR 14 YEARS AND IN THE LAST YEAR THEY HAVE WENT TO GARBAGE. I CAN'T EVEN GET A SUPERVISOR ON THE PHONE. THEY ARE DEPOSITING MONEY CORRECTLY INTO OUR ACCOUNT BUT DEBIT CHARGES OUT OF A CLOSED ACCOUNT AND WE ARE GETTING OVERDRAFT FEES. I HAVE ATTEMTED TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR 10 MONTHS NOW WITH NO RESOLVE. Zero stars for my experience with Shift4. Lost a bunch of money due to lack of certain functions, terrible customer service (tech support is completely useless), and if you’re a bar/restaurant YOU CAN NOT START TABS!!!! Major issues that I wish we’d known before switching. Don’t do it.
