Ok hear me out...I have been with ShowBiz since the day they opened, I was there when Chuck Norris made his appearance. When it first opened up it was amazing everything was new and had that wow factor. Fast forward years later, they suffered through Covid and haven't bounced back fully yet. We tried them out again for the "Twisters" movie, and I was so disappointed in how ran down the place has gotten. I would agree with others that this place has gone downhill. Went there bowling recently and somehow got the one lane that bumpers didn't work so then had to switch lanes after getting set up. Then had pin malfunctions a couple times and it took 20 mins to get someone to fix it, which came off the hour and a half time I had to bowl. Went to movie this weekend and the chairs are wearing out, there was dried spilled pop on some on the seats and tables. We've gone to this theater nearly every weekend since it opened. The last two weeks it has taken a nose dive. Two biggest movies of the summer, Twisters and Deadpool/Wolverine get released. The place is packed. Out of dollar dogs one night. Out of nacho cheese sauce another night. Out of hot pretzels another day. Their website is plastered with messages about their policy regarding "unattended minors" and I can see why. The "ushers" were no where to be found so kids were just wandering right in. I get to my seat and find two "teens" sitting in my reserved spot. It's dark so I assume I must be over a set and couldn't quite remember which seats I got exactly. Clean the theaters!! This place has been going downhill and is just awful. The place is filthy and the seats are all torn or broken. I know it's a movie theater, but even the food is getting to be worse than a little league concession stand. For the price movies are these days, go somewhere else that actually cleans and wants to have repeat customers.
Used to be amazing but it has gone downhill terribly in last year. Floors, seats and trays are so sticky no matter what day or time of day you watch a movie. Bathrooms are a gamble, impossible to hit the trifecta of toilet paper, soap and paper napkins in one go. Employees act like they'd rather be on a smoke break. Hoping new ownership helps bring it back but they might be the problem. Bummer.
This seems like such a great place!!! BUT.... The service is awful! So, first of all, we reserved two lanes. I asked about military discount and they give you one free shoe rental per lane. well, at least they give us $4.50 off. Even though there were multiple veterans. Second, the lanes were $38 plus each person who needs shoes $4.50 for 1.5 hours. Takes a minute to get started figuring out all the options for games!!? Wish it was just straight bowling scoreboard. Prices are crazy $10 for popcorn is outlandish. I will never be going back here a drink, candy, and popcorn in total cost 22$. If im buying popcorn it better be good, but no this popcorns butter is absolutely terrible.
Since new ownership perishable products have gone down, ie popcorn isn't as tasty or popped kernels as large as when they first opened. Only one size drink is sold. For seniors, they refuse to sell us the children's kit without the drink and fill the drink slot with popcorn, making us feel like we're asking for an expensive replacement. Staff doesn't appear glad to be there and when asked a question the guy at the register looks at us as if we're from Mars. Happens every time.
