It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Don’t waste your money at The Shrimp Basket in Panama City Beach. A McDonald’s fish sandwich is a much better choice.
I went in last night with my girlfriend for a dinner, waited over 15 minutes to get asked for drinks while 3 other servers went by our table outside, after that long 15 or more minutes Tonya comes out to take out order, she did decently well, had good service, only forgot the lemons for my tea. A bartender name Jamie was so rude and made us wait without even telling us … then she was very rude to my wife . We came in last week at night and my wife left so upset
Went tonight at 8:10, got seated around 8:35ish. Ordered around 8:45-8:50. Finally got up and left at 10 because we hadn’t seen our server since we ordered same with the table right beside us. We even asked other servers to send our server over and still no one came. Very disappointed and my daughter is so sad she didn’t get her shrimp
Recommendedwaited 40 minutes for a table , it was my birthday, I ordered the whitefish tacos it was supposed to come with all the delicious stuff on top it was plain looking with one slice of lettuce and one little yellow thing that was it no taste it was awful , the appetizer was however very runny , and OMG the women's bathroom smelled of straight up piss it was so nasty that I threw up as soon as we left the restaurant and was pulling out of in the street , it soured my stomach so bad ..oh and our server was super nice and so so sw... read more
The drinks were good and the staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a good meal, go somewhere else. The food was terrible.
We got a take-out order of Coconut Shrimp and Fried Shrimp. The coconut shrimp tasted like grease, not coconut. My wife had to peel the breading off the shrimp in order to eat it. The fried shrimp was ok. They also left the marmalade out of the order, as well as the caramel topping for two pieces of key lime pie. Not a good experience.
