It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Was disappointed, very slow service and the food was just ok. Won’t waste my time next trip.
We’ve come every year a couple times while on vacation. Based on today, not sure we’ll return. Service was spectacularly slow. We ordered the special all you can eat shrimp and didn’t get any coleslaw. When I asked the waiter he said it didn’t come with the special, but the special menu lists it first as a side. So, no slaw. We were able to have one refill for shrimp placed in the two hours we were there. We gave up and called it done. Destin location
We waited an hour to be seated then over an hour and a half for our food! Food was cold, my daughters chicken tasted HORRIBLE, & our waitress was hardly ever around! Will not be back...
Visited the Shrimp Basket and was told we’d have approximately a 30 minute wait but an hour later we hadn’t been seated. Once seated we waited approximately 10 minutes before anyone even came to get our drink order. Ordered our food but when it arrived at our table the potatoes were cold. My husband ordered the all you can eat fish. His order for more fish was slow and the amount they brought was small. The waitress was sweet but the service was super slow. The food was mediocre, not bad but not wonderful either.
I understand that Covid 19 has messed a lot of things up but, when you order food on the web site and are told 45 min and it turns out to be and 1 1/2 that is unacceptable!! Stop accepting the online orders!!
The portion was so small one little piece of fish and maybe 6 pieces of shrimp that were supposedto be blackened but barely had a little seasoning on them same with the cajun. The kids popcorn shrimp was cooked in old grease so you couldn't eat it. Such a big disappointment!
Would not allow us to seat 4 adults at a table. Went to Another restaurant next night. Seven people at tables. No issues. You would think they would welcome the business. Won’t ever go back!
I have mixed feelings about this place. We came because it was really popular, so we thought it'd be good. The hostess told us that they'd have a table ready for us in 30 minutes, which we totally understood. So we went to the pier near the restaurant, and we had to wait around 45 minutes instead. As soon as we got a table, it took about 20 minutes for our waitress to take our actual order because there was some sort of miscommunication between the waiters and waitresses, which happens.
