It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. Spent a lot of money and left hungry (including my kids) because the portions were so small. The food was good at least, just not much of it.
They advertise to go orders available, however, this is not the case! Need to update advertising!!
Fish was not good. Portions small although I only needed one bite.
We have eaten at Shrimp Basket in Gulf Shores for years and have loved it! Tonight, our meals at the PCB Shrimp Basket were NOT what we are used to. Very little sauce on the redfish dish, rubbery (clearly not fresh) steamed shrimp, and no seasoning on the shrimp and all sides. Threw away half of the meal - What a waste of our money as two teachers trying to get a quick holiday on a budget. Will be sure not to recommend this franchise here and elsewhere.

I was given bland and cold steamed shrimp after waiting almost two hours for service. I also noticed customers who came in after myself had received service before me and their food looked amazing while my food looked as if it was leftover from another order. The food had to be thrown away in the beach.
This is my first time in 30 years to leave a bad review. We use to love eating at shrimp basket. We normally visit every time we are in PCB or orange beach. However, tonight really upset me. I placed my order online around 6:00 pm to be picked up at 7:30 pm. When we arrived at 7:40 my food wasn’t ready. I thought no big deal, it’s a holiday weekend. So I sent my husband in. Our server took forever. We had people coming in after us and everyone of them got there food before us. When we did get our food it was not what I ordered. To top it off, it was put on my bill and had to be removed. Was there twice as long as we should have been
The Shrimp small fried greasy. Service was very good. Green beans were great! Cold slaw was good. Baked shrimp was good but small compared to price and quantity. Gulf Shores Shrimp basket appears to be better!
