As an update to my previous review, Solar Optimum has spent a considerable amount of time trying to get me to remove my review (which by the way they do for anyone who posts less than a stellar review on any review site, namely EnergySage). I wish I would have gotten this much attention when things were in the install phase. I wouldn't be here writing this review. We wish we would have never chosen Solar Optimum for our solar needs. We now wish we never had solar installed. Unfortunately we were mislead by this company's employee's. Every person we dealt with at this company either: lied, gave us the run around, or was so disrespectful it pushed me to consult with an attorney for future retaining needs. Don't bother getting a quote. Lots of back and forth via Yelp and email. You give them all the info they need to give you a quote and they refuse unless you schedule a 10 min call to discuss the numbers. Very rude, here are some email responses I received: "we don't spam call you. We just need your phone number so that we can call you to give you a rundown of the number. As a follow up to our prior review have reached out to Solar Optimum 3 different times and have not received a single response. All of a sudden, apparently the people we were working with are incapable of responding. Additionally not even a partial refund has been received despite the fact that Solar Optimum took our $500 deposit but decided they were unwilling to install solar on our home. After months of researching solar companies , solar optimum checked all the boxes and I decided to go with them. I signed the agreement (so i thought) i called to followup to make sure things are moving Along, (5 - 6 days later ) my sales rep said it's looking good and nothing to worry about we have plenty of time before NEM 2.0 is fazed out. Poor communication and poor customer service. As a homeowner, this was one of the least satisfactory contractor experiences I've had.

Solar Optimum will treat you well until you sign the contract and pay them the deposit. After that they will ignore your calls, hang up on you, and give you attitude when you point out the unprofessionalism. Had to spend close to an hour to finally get a hold of someone to get updates on the project. Poorly trained employees seemed annoyed to do their jobs. Just something to keep in mind when they are selling you on the contract.

The worst experience possible from day 1. I was working with someone after the initial call and he disappeared. Next thing I know someone else takes over without explanation and I'm back to square one. After a lot of back and forth again with the new person I sign the initial agreement. They send someone out to assess my panel and location for the batteries and he tells me they have to go inside the garage. Unresponsive and hence unprofessional. After a quick email introduction, the assigned rep stopped responding to emails, VMs or texts.
