As a follow up to our prior review have reached out to Solar Optimum 3 different times and have not received a single response. All of a sudden, apparently the people we were working with are incapable of responding. Additionally not even a partial refund has been received despite the fact that Solar Optimum took our $500 deposit but decided they were unwilling to install solar on our home. After months of researching solar companies , solar optimum checked all the boxes and I decided to go with them. I signed the agreement (so i thought) i called to followup to make sure things are moving Along, (5 - 6 days later ) my sales rep said it's looking good and nothing to worry about we have plenty of time before NEM 2.0 is fazed out. Poor communication and poor customer service. As a homeowner, this was one of the least satisfactory contractor experiences I've had.

Solar Optimum will treat you well until you sign the contract and pay them the deposit. After that they will ignore your calls, hang up on you, and give you attitude when you point out the unprofessionalism. Had to spend close to an hour to finally get a hold of someone to get updates on the project. Poorly trained employees seemed annoyed to do their jobs. Just something to keep in mind when they are selling you on the contract.

Not sure what to make of this company. The reviews are great and they appear to be a quality company, but my experience with them was miserable. I choose Solar Optium after getting four quotes, then I setup a telephone meeting. No one called at the appointed time, so I called the company. They had another person call me and that went fine, but since that time I have not been able to get them to answer emails, phone calls or text messages. The worst experience possible from day 1. I was working with someone after the initial call and he disappeared. Next thing I know someone else takes over without explanation and I'm back to square one. After a lot of back and forth again with the new person I sign the initial agreement. They send someone out to assess my panel and location for the batteries and he tells me they have to go inside the garage. Unresponsive and hence unprofessional. After a quick email introduction, the assigned rep stopped responding to emails, VMs or texts.

Terrible, terrible company!!! Stay away from these guys... They gave me a quote, made me to sign contract, got the financing done, sent their technician to go on top of my roof for site survey and assess my property; he broke a number of my roof tiles during the process. Then a month later they called and said the salesman that was working with me has left the company. BTW, the sales guy that provided me the initial quote, (a few months back), was also departed from the company. They got super high turnover among their sales... read more
I requested a quote. They game me one then they added 9000 in roofing then more for this and that. It came up to 20k more than the quote. They have bought their number one reputable. Do not deserve even a star. All that without telling me and presenting me with a bill. 3 months later someone when to check on my roof they had not done any roofing. The 9000 was a scam. I had an extra 6000 in roofing dome 8 panel that don't cover my electric bill cost me 35k. I might have to sell my house.
