Solar Optimum did a very nice job all around with my solar installation, from product selection and pricing, to scheduling and installation. I was always able to get in touch with the right person in charge of whatever I needed to have a response for and they were prompt with their responses. I got my solar panels in 2017. There was an issue with one panel which they came out an fixed when they caught it. All in all pretty happy with the whole experience, reflecting back this many years later. Only issue I have is in the process of selling me the panels they promised they would be willing to come by once a year or so to clean them. Maybe it was just a sales person talking but I've called and left messages during some of the very long dry spells we get in SoCal if they could wipe them down. They never get bac... read more

My experience with Solar Optimum actually got worse since my last review. They offered a $1,400 credit and even said that accounting had approved it and it was ready to mail. However, they asked that I remove my review. I didn't do that, and they actually are refusing to provide the money they had offered. Going to escalate this, never have I seen such shady business practices.
I paid almost $50,000 in full for our solar project and encountered significant issues from start to finish. To address the issues, I communicated directly with Michael (Sales Administrator), Gerson (Customer Service Manager), Mohaimen (Director of Operations), and other managers/employees. Management acknowledged the issues and promised a resolution/accommodation but has now ghosted me. Buyer beware - once they get your money, they won't follow through.
Three days ago ,my carbon monoxide alarm at 2 am started beeping constantly. I initially tried to fix it by change the battery and resetting the device, but it didn't work. I called Solar Optimum the company that installed the alarm , the first representative I spoke with Davey ,told me that the alarm was under warranty and promised to send a technician to fix or replace it, However, no one contacted me or showed up on the first day. I really don't like writing poor reviews, unless I think that this is necessary to guide future decisions for other customers, especially because this company is so highly reviewed. Imagine getting to the finish line after months of waiting just to see that your Solar panels produce zero energy. I had to troubleshoot with Enphase on the phone myself, while Solar Optimum claims they solved the issue remotely. They cant promise for quote price.. watch out and read carefully Doc Sign and gouging another big thousand dollars .. Loan for 20 but now 25 years and crazy ! Stay away from this Solar Optimum business.
signed a contract with Solar Optimum on Aug 12th, 2026. Per phone call with Eddie Rodriguez, it was made clear that I wanted to have it installed by end of year in order to qualify for the tax credit before it expired. A lot of time passed by without hearing back. Then I was told the solar panels that I had agreed to are no longer available. They replaced them with cheaper options.
