I have been a long time customer with Solar Optimum and could not be happier with them. From the installation over five years ago to the periodic service calls Optimum has always been there for us. Their office staff is understanding and thorough. They always follow up about tech appointments. The techs are truly amazing! Polite professional and experienced. The evaluate and did the problems quickly and explain what they did and ask if I have any questions. Solar Optimum is an extremely well run business!

If you are reading this review it's probably to find out 2 things: 1) Should I really be investing in solar right now? and 2) Is Solar Optimum the company I should pick? Well, I was you about 4 months ago doing exactly the same thing. I read all these reviews, 100s of them. And I did the same for other companies that cover southern CA. This is an early review, I will be updating it throughout. After talking to 10 companies that I found on Solar Sage and Yelp, I decided to chose Solar Optimum. Solar Optimum had competitive prices ( the best ), great warranty and was using micro-inverters. REC400AA panels with Enphase IQ8M microinverters. SHORT VERSION: Honestly not sure if other companies would have been better or worse? In the end I have the panels I wanted and I'm happy with the price and warranty (though hoping I don't have to use it...) It was a struggle though. We finally took the plunge on getting solar installed on our home, and we engaged with about 10 companies to submit bids and proposals. Solar Optimum ultimately got the nod from us. We went with Solar Optimum after getting bids through energysage.com. The whole system has worked very well (7 months out), giving us up to 47kwh/day (peak so far). This is enough to charge our car, run our home and still get some bones back from SCE. Solar Optimum installed the solar system, as well as a new main panel and an EV outlet. I had a great experience with Solar Optimum for a solar install. I'm in the Bay area and I had about 25 quotes. All of the other Bay area companies were more expensive, some dramatically more. These guys had the best overall warranty and lowest price and a fantastic reputation here on yelp, google, solar reviews, better business bureau and other sites After contract signature, it took a week for the site inspection, another week for the design and two weeks to get an installation date. Rene Melena at Solar Optimum was really great. Very responsive, helpful and friendly. The install only took a few days, but there was months of lead up and prep, mostly waiting for permits. And then after the install it takes a month or so to get LADWP to sign off and allow the system to be turned on. The amount of power the system is generating exceeded my expectations. We are feeding way more power to the grid than we are using. Looking forward to seeing if we are making money. Thumbs up for Solar Optimum.
