Tonight was insane. My German Shepherd choked on a treat. I performed the Heimlich and it didn’t work. I reached down his throat and could feel the treat, but I couldn’t get it out. It seemed like forever. Finally, as I was loading him into my car, it came out. I took him to Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty to have him checked out. A huge shout to Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty! I’m not even sure where to begin - from the very beginning when we called about our pup being sick, they were prompt and helpful! The vets were very up front and honest, but also comforting about Pheonix’s condition. They checked in with us twice a day the entire she was there and even after the first time she was discharged, we called 27 more times to asked questions about medications and symptoms. My pup was transferred with severe pancreatitis. She was admitted for a week. They made sure she was comfortable and got love and attention. They allowed me to visit her at least twice a day. Dr. Doyle and her team are PHENOMENAL!! She explained everything in detail to me regardless of how long it took. Her team is super sweet and professional. I highflying recommend this place, especially Dr. Doyle and her amazing team!
I had to take her in last night because she swallowed some small magnets. They were able to induce vomiting and she threw them up. I was highly impressed with the care we received. They were kind, helpful, and responsive. Also, the bill was way less than anticipated. They were fast-acting and prevented a potential emergency situation ❤

Their team was so helpful and respectful with my dog’s emergency. Even with the stress of COVID procedures, they’re very well organized. It was nice to talk to a human instead of a robot menu. They checked on us while we waited. The doctor called us 3 times to update us. Their team worked overtime and after hours. Thank you so much!
