This place is amazing! Everyone here has a super positive attitude! And they are really friendly and they actually care! I think it says a lot when they go out of their way to help you especially in hard times! They really made my children’s Christmas a special one by helping getting there puppy Glock all fixed up and home for Christmas! As well as mom and dad with the bill! There is no doubt that the staff at Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty saved the life of our much loved two year old Standard Poodle. My husband rushed Baron to the Emergency after finding him blind, disoriented and drooling excessively. Baron soon started having seizures and the emergency staff immediately took him to the back to assess his condition. Baron’s situation seemed dire and my husband and I were expecting the worst. Thank you SO much!! Had to take Zeus in today with what appeared to be serious Neurological issues. He's OK!! Yes some health issues we have to be watchful for but he's safe, happy and healthy now! An outstanding staff of Dr.'s and Vet techs, great "crateside" manner, professional and informative! I would highly recommend them for your pet. I can't thank you enough neither can Zeus :) :)
I have a 3 year old Lab, Duke, who has managed to get himself into quite a few predicaments in the past 2-3 years, which means we have had to visit the ER a few times for stitches, seizures, etc. Most recently, he underwent surgery because he's a ding-dong who eats stuff he shouldn't. Our 4 year old mini doxie, Bunker, had a severe spinal injury over the Labor Day Weekend. We rushed him to Powers Pet Emergency, the ER teamed, led by Dr Parell did an awesome job of triage and neurological team of Summer, Rachel, Ted and Dr Ko had him into surgery the next morning. We expected Bunker to remain in the hospital for an extended recovery, but he was released 2 days early with a great prognosis for a full recovery. Our 8 year old GSD bloated the other night. Kim Tedeschi, DVM and the staff got her right away. She came in explained the process and told us her outlook looked really good. said so few walk in on their own with this. they did surgery within a hour or so and got her un twisted and tacked so unlikely to twist again. They kept us in the loop as she finished and the next days on her progress. She is home recovering wonderfully.
