I had some credit issues due to a bankruptcy and Brian was very helpful in obtaining a refinanced loan despite that hurdle. Very timely, knowledgeable and helpful.

Paul was a tremendous help during the home buying process. He demonstrated patience, answered my many questions, and took the time to explain complex mortgage features. Paul checked in regularly to see how I was doing. He went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable with the outcome. I would highly recommend him to others.

My husband had recently passed away and this was the first time I had to do anything without his guidance. Scott held my hand the entire time and was very patient in explaining everything to me. He met me on the weekend and always called me back right away. He was very up front with me about everything and communicated regularly with my agent and my son. Doubt I am ever moving again but I would definitely use him again if I did.

Paul was great in assisting myself and my husband with the financing of purchasing a new home. He kept us well informed and was patient as we asked him to run numbers several times on various homes. Despite taking almost 9 months for us to find a new home and sell our old home; Paul had all of our paperwork up to par so when we were ready to move, he was waiting with approval of financing in hand. Thank you Paul for making our home buying so painless during financing.

Mr. McCausland is very easy to talk to. Patient and understanding. We look forward to working with him in the future. He checks in on us with a kind phone call and his timing was adequate as we were able to refinance our home in a timely manner. Our home buying experience with Brian was flawless. He was prompt and accurate and easily reached at any time of day. Brian was very patient and understanding of the frustrations often presented in obtaining a mortgage. Having his knowledge and professionalism helped put us at ease. There were no "surprises" at all. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Chris Bufis from Southern Trust Mortgage. It was my first home purchase I have ever made and the overall experience of buying a house was exceptional. Paul was outstanding in our effort to refinance our home. We had tried several other companies but did not like the person on the phone. We liked Paul from Day 1. Chris took on more than he bargained for with our complex situation. Even though we were not approved, Chris referred us to people who could help us with our quest to improve our credit. We are under pressure to move back to Virginia Beach, and Chris explained why we could not qualify at this time. He was very encouraging and tried his best to make sure we don't give up.
