I have taken my daughter to SWP for almost 9 years, Dr. Rimer is great. I never had an issue until about 1 1/2 years ago when my son started going to the clinic. Dr. Rimer is of course great, but the office staff is terrible and extrememly rude. They talk and do not allow your concerns to be heard before trying to interveve with what they think is a solution. Horrible experience with the office staff. They are so rude and abrupt, really makes you feel like they could care less about you or your child. So why in the world would I ever want to take my child back to such an environment! The doctor we saw was very nice and we would have been more than happy to have her continue to treat our child, however unfortunately we deal with the office staff more than the doctors, so we are forced to find a new pediatrician. Dr Wagner is awesome. I wish i can give 5 stars but for the office staff. They looked quite confused right from my first experience at this office. Either they don't know what they are doing or they are not trained / managed really well. The recent occasion i even experienced a slight racial incident. I dont like to call it this way but this is what happened in real. Um... Loved my doctor here. But was just treated so poorly by the office staff that I can't see continuing the relationship. Called in to schedule an appointment for my 1.5-year old and my newborn baby and, rather than say something friendly like "wow new baby congratulations!" the angry staff person told me they I had a "bad debt" of $63 and wasn't welcome to schedule any appointments. We only visited SW Pediatrics a handful of times - mostly seeing Dr. Wagner. Unfortunately we won't be returning as a result of the last appointment. I took my 3.5 year old son for an appointment because he had a lingering cough that had already been plaguing him for a week. Dr. Wagner performed a pretty cursory evaluation of him - I don't even think he looked in his ears (more on that in a bit). He told us that it was just a viral infection and to let it run its course. These people completely dropped the ball with our little girls to the point we feel they're dangerous. We recently moved here from out of state. Our children were born at 27 weeks and have a history of lung issues and, to our surprise and horror after four months, Dr. Rimer and her oblivious helpers never even obtained their records from our previous doctor. I have been going to SW Pediatrics since my first child was born 3 1/2 years ago. Unfortunately, I am having to go elsewhere due to constant issues in scheduling appointments. I never had an issue until this past year when the office began implementing separate appointments between sick visits and well check visits. They designate specified times available for sick visit appointments, and specified times available for well check visits. My 3 year old is no longer a patient here. We have been taking her to ARC because the management and office staff is horrible. I have been calling around today to find groups that aren't out of the flu shots. The receptionist told me they did have the flu shots in stock but couldn't help us because my 3 year old wasn't a current patient. I hung up on the lady because I was so angry that it wasn't a big deal to her to deny a 3 year old a flu shot. I recommend not using them because they don't actually care about kids! I absolutely LOVED Dr. Fyda. However, the front office staff is extremely rude, and I couldn't take being treated poorly anymore. I wanted to bring my daughter to see Dr. Fyda until she was too old to be seen by her. However, that didn't happen, because of her supporting staff. I took for daughter there for 2 years.... I'll never go back.
