Unfortunately we had a bad experience during my dogs visit on 7/1/21. My dog was going in for his booster vaccines, I alerted the receptionist that I was outside in spot 5 and that my dog was dog aggressive and 75lbs. She asked if I preferred to come with him for the visit, I said yes. She texted me back and said that I could come into the lobby and they would room us ASAP to keep him clear of other animals. We headed into the waiting room and waited from 3pm until 4pm when I finally started complaining, all while my 75lb do... read more

THIS POST IS MEANT TO BE A WARNING FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO ENSURE YOUR ANIMALS ARE SEEN BY PROVIDERS WHO HAVE THEIR BEST INTEREST AT HEART! I usually do not use social media, but I am so upset about the treatment my precious cat received, that I created this Yelp account to warn others about willingly taking their fur babies to this veterinary hospital. I will start by saying bedside manner is highly lacking at this facility. While they might act like they are concerned by sending out a follow up email regarding service... read more

This is usually my go to office and I have been coming here for 9+ years but yesterday was a nightmare! The phone lines are always busy and almost impossible to get through. Get another phone line! You can afford it! I was trying to call for over 30 minutes to find out what was going on with my dog after getting a voicemail from the vet. I ended up just having to drive there to find out what was going on. I picked her up about 2 hours later get her home and notice she has a bleeding puncture wound on the top of your head! Th... read more

For the love of goodness it's the 21st century. Add another phone line to your business. Every time I call the line is busy. When you do get through, you're put on hold for sometimes 10-15 minutes. Staff says they have to use their personal cell phones to make calls because there is only one phone line in and out of the building. Called early this week to get refill. Finally got someone to call me back three days later only to find out that there was no note of my dog needing a refill. I am going to look for another vet for... read more

**Update: I was contacted by Southwest regarding this review, but wasn't in a position to talk. When I asked for a callback number, Julie instructed me to call the main number, which I'd already stated in the review was nearly impossible to get through on. That's how concerned they were to hear feedback. Took my review from 3 stars down to 2, and have found a new vet.**

Business response:

Thank you so much for letting us know about your frustrating experience. We are working hard during this time to keep our clients and staff safe while providing high quality veterinary care. In this case, we could have done better. Our hospital manager, Julie, will be reaching out to you to discuss your feedback and how we can improve your experience.

I am so disappointed. I have been taking my pets to this veterinarian hospital for over 20 years. My family recently acquired a stray dog that my school aged boys have grown quite attached too. We decided to keep him and name him Scout. We took him to Southwest today for his check up. Unfortunately, there was an accident on South bound 99 and we were 5 minutes late for a 3:30 appointment. The veterinarian on duty turned us away because we were late and she had other clients coming in. When I say 5 minutes. It's not an exagge... read more

I have no complaints about the staff or doctors. I do have issues with people who think it's okay to declaw a cat. If you can't handle their claws then you shouldn't have cats. Declawing to a cat is like ripping your finger off to the first knuckle. It's cruel and should not be done by any doctor. I have no more words for that.

I brought my little dog in for severe itching about 2 was ago. I don't have a lot of money but 120$ later only for my poor dog having no relief at all. The allergist one of the vets there pretty much made me feel like if I don't pay 400$ to find out what Holly is allergic to she probably won't get any relief. I asked twice for a shot so she could get some much needed relief but she told me I had to try these pills for itching first. I never heard of them. They didn't work at all. They said I have to give it to her for two we... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your review. We are the third veterinary hospital in the last year you have visited. The cortisone injection you had been given at the prior two hospitals for the past year, and which you indicated only provided a few days of relief, is unsafe for "Holly" to continue long-term. The treatment plan discussed with you is the safest, long term method of treating a chronic allergy when we do not know what is causing Holly's allergic reaction. We admit that allergy testing is expensive, but it can also be I vital tool... read more
