This is the second time we dined at Stone Creek in Montgomery, OH. Just like the last time, the food was EXCELLENT (5 out of 5 stars). They certainly have one or more very impressive chef(s). Also, the menu is quite diverse and leaves practically nothing to be desired.

This was my second time visiting Stone Creek. Our first visit was on a Friday night and it took awhile for our food to arrive but since they were busy we accepted it. This time we went on a Tuesday night and the place wasn't very busy. However, our food took almost an hour to arrive which made me irritable.
Our dining experience at Stone Creek was very good. The seating allows for more privacy than in most restaurants and it was quiet and romantic. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. The Ahi Tuna appetizer was seared perfectly rare and the sauces were not too spicy. The short ribs were tender and flavorful and the creamy risotto complemented them well. It was a tough beginning; we were seated right next to the kitchen in a half full restaurant. We complained and were moved to a quieter location. The ambiance is so nice in most of the restaurant: clean, warm, comfortable. The beer list was great. They have many of our favorites that are tough to find. We both had steak dinners. The steaks were cooked as ordered, and tasted great. Our waiter was a little too informal with us, but the service was efficient.
Their corn chowder is fabulous!
