The food was good but the service was horrible. The waitress was slow and mixed up everything even our bill. She used my credit card to pay my brothers bill and his credit card to pay my bill. It cost us $10 more than it should. Someone else’s food was delivered to our table and then taken away and given to another table. However, Previous times at this restaurant have been excellent.
Waited almost an hour after salad before asking when we would get our food. Told that he had "not put it in yet!"
Dinner was served before we were finished with our salads. As a result, the table was crowded and the server stood there waiting for us to move our plates so the entrees could be served. Not typical for our prior experiences with this restaurant. Maybe a new server that wasn’t trained?
Hank our waiter was great. We got the Filet Shrimp Scallop Special but the large table next to us was EXTREMELY LOUD. We couldn’t carry on a Conversation. The Mgr was nice and came by 2 times checking our table. I’m sure he heard them. They never toned it down all evening. Ruined a nice night
Sat at booth in bar. Did not physically fit in there very well. Having to rest my feet on that little bar under the table was uncomfortable (the option was to let my feet dangle, which would have been worse). Food was all good until dessert. An amazing Valentines Day later cake - great flairs, amazing icing between the layers, but then they squirted store bought Hershey’s chocolate syrup and canned RediWhip on the plate. It really cheapened and ruined the plate.
Not a good meal or dining experience. Filet medallions were very well done, tough and extremely small (I know they are supposed to be small but these we're almost very thin and pressed down). Service was very slow and our empty plates sat on the table after each course for a long time. Water wasn't refilled unless asked. Manager very friendly but that didn't counter the bad meal and experience.
Normally have a great experience with high ratings for food and service. Not this time. After asking twice, we still waited 15 minutes before drinks arrived...they said they were out of glasses! What's up with that! Then confusion on who got chardonnay vs. Riesling, and the server trying to smell the difference in the pours. Then one of our desserts was served to a different table. Hoping this was a one-off bad-service experience, as I really love Stone Creek!
This is my first experience with the new Montgomery Stone Creek and I was very disappointed. In the past my experiences with Stone Creek have been fabulous, however, not so much on this visit. It was bad from the start, with our reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, they were clearly not ready for us, even though the restaurant was no where close to full.
