Celebrated an anniversary here again as we have always enjoyed this restuarant. The quality of the food is excellent. There was a mix up and got an improperly cooked steak. The waitress took back immediately and manager even apologized. It happens right? Very very noisy
The scene was enjoyable but the food was unfavorable. When my food arrived, the potatoes were cold with the asparagus. The plate was returned to the kitchen and then returned to me. The meat was now overcooked and the shrimp was tough and the potatoes dry with black crusted asparagus. The meal was comped and I would recommend drinks and the service was favorable but however, I would not recommend eating there for the price of the meal. It was a birthday celebration and I wasn't pleased with the outcome.
We had an early dinner reservation at Stone Creek in Montgomery. After cocktail and appetizer, the smoke alarm went off three times. The last blaring occasion it lasted for about 10 or more minutes. We has half our dinner boxed to go because of the noise. No apology and a highly unlikely excuse that the smoke alarm was being tested make us sorry we went.
We had a good experience in our previous visit, but not a good one this time around. I ordered the pick 2, and the chicken was undercooked, which can happen. The server took the whole plate back, which I believe was the wrong thing to do, given I had a good steak to eat. He should just have brought out a replacement serving of chicken. The chef seemed to have problems with cooking any meats. My girlfriend's steak went back (undercooked) three times and still wasn't close to right. My steak was overcooked. I appreciate the fact that her meal was comped but disappointed that it appears the restaurant is declining. The menu has changed and the portions are smaller. My crab cakes were the diameter of quarters.
I was disappointed in the food. First, I received my Caesar Salad with no dressing on it. Next, ordered the seafood trio and the Crab Cakes were very fishy. Another had the fish tacos and they were not too tasty. The waiter was pleasant and helpful. Did not complain to him. The restaurant was decorated nicely.
