My husband ordered the chicken entree and it was a very small piece of chicken!!! If the chicken pieces are that tiny, two should be part of the entree. I know my husband will have to consider what to order in the future (he doesn't eat red meat or fish that isn't wild fish).... On a positive note, our server Kelsey is always fantastic!!!!!
We had been here before and loved it. So we are going to assume that this was just an off night.
It is too bad that the parking for this restaurant is not convenient. Even parking under the building requires going outside and around the corner. It is difficult for those who have never been there to find the parking. If the underground parking isn't available the lot across the street is a mess. I went there on a rainy day. I did park underground but still had to walk in the rain to get into the restaurant. They need some kind of sign to show people where to go.
I had ordered a 12 oz. steak and was not very impressed as it was pretty much full of gristle. It was prepared just as ordered and the rest of the meal, appetizers and all were just fine.
everything from the start was fair. Although I had a reservation , I was not offered my table and had to ask if I could be seated. They sat me in the general bar area which is typically not used for reservations. I asked for a booth and although most were empty were provided the one closest to the kitchen which had a ceiling blower directly above my head. This was our third time to Stone Creek in Montgomery and it was our second Valentine's Day in a row. We were sat at a back table by the kitchen and next to an 8 top of people. Our server handled both the 8 top and us. We watched as that table received phenominal service throughout their experience while we were often neglected (there were three of us). The food was not prepared as it said on the menu and was missing the crabcake. When I mentioned it to the server he told me it didn't come with one. I told him to go read the menu. He then came back and told me well it does come with one but we're out. With that I looked at him thinking he would offer me something as a substitute. He acted as if I shouldn't expect anything and proceeded to tell me shrimp cost $2.00 a piece so if I were to substitute shrimp I wasn't going to get much.
