I had heard so many good things from so may different people, I had high hopes for my first occasion here. I was let down. Our service was slow, at best. Server showed no interest in taking care of us. Calamari app took 30 minutes to arrive at the table. Soup was brought with the appetizer. No bread was offered, even though all surrounding tables had it. When I asked about it, our server seemed surprised that we wanted it. I made reservations for 2:30 on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, at 2:30 the "buffet" consisted of old food prepared long before 2:30 or empty plates with cards listing what was suppose to be on the plate.
Easter Brunch was a BIG disappointment at Stone Creek Montgomery. The buffet was small, the food was overcooked and cold. Many serving dishes sat empty for quite some time before being refilled. Given the price of $30 ea., it was hardly worth it! No fault of the restaurant, but I was amazed at how underdressed the clientele were for Easter Sunday and it continually amazes me how parents can bring young ones and entertain them with electronic devices ... I'm not sure what to say about a recommendation. The food is very good, prices are good, beautiful restaurant, and great drinks.....but...... Service sucks!! This is the third time we have gone in three months and the last. Each time part of our meal was wrong or not served at all. Each time there was no apology, no concern shown, or any attempt to make it correct. This time my salad was never delivered even after reminding two servers. We really like Stone Creek and always have great service and great food. We had the same experience this time except for the fact that we made a 7:00pm reservation and arrived at 6:50, but were not seated until 7:25. This was frustrating as we continued to see people come in after us and be seated before us. The hostess was very nice but it didnt change the fact that we had to wait almost 30 minutes past our reservation time...disappointing.
too loud for a special occasion restaurant
Greasy, bland food with little flavor, except for the pound of bacon that's comes in some form with each dish. Potatoes au gratin was cold in the center. I want my money back!
Tom was our server and he was the best at describing their specials, their homemade desserts and all around great service.
