To repair an oil leak, they replaced the head gasket (which is expensive - $500 - because they have to remove the engine head to replace the gasket, and that's complicated -- I had it done years ago on another car, and it was the same thing). They did a good job and kept me informed by email messages at every step of the way - including pictures of the things they were checking and repairing. I had a problem shifting out of 4wd back to 2wd. It was the first time it had even been moved into 4wd. I took it to 2 mechanics, they said I needed a transmission guy. I went to this transmission shop that is now stress-free auto care. If I knew they weren't even a tranny shop, I would've left then. They went over multiple times the issue, multiple times the process, very redundant. A week later, I received an email with a quote and some pics. The quote totaled $8000 for my 2005 jeep. Don't waste your time and money , I was told my car will be ready in 1 week, it took them 4 weeks to repair it ,after when it's was ready, he was agrassive with me because I didn't pick my car one day before, their text system doesn't work, after one week my car had other problems I take back he was not happy at all, Save your stress then I find out they intall a license cover to advertise them self on my car also the person on the desk try to be professional . I recently provided a negative review of Keith's transmission specialist in Castro valley, particularly in regards to general manager Jon Franco, however, after further later conversations with Mr. Franco and a more detailed explanation Mr. Franco was most helpful regarding the needed repairs and pricing of these repairs for my vehicle. Took my truck in for a second opinion on a transmission issue and their mechanic/technician saved me thousands by finding the real issue. Jon, their manager, kept me up to date with how the work was coming along, including sending the inspection report with pictures, via text and email. Overall a real "stress-free" experience.

Excellent service again! My 2008 E350 need service for a check engine light. After running the diagnostics, the car needed some services done to get it running like the first day off the lot. After having my 1966 Nova work done here and now my Benz, I would recommend this place to everyone. Staff is very professional and upfront about issues.

Jon the general manager is great! Takes his time with you, and sends you a itemized, picture and break down of all the work that needs doing in priority fashion. I highly recommend this business. They do more then transmissions.
