3 years ago I had my transmission rebuilt at Fremont Ford, or so I thought. They were telling me the stall and clunking noise was turbo lag. Well it wasn't! My husband took my car to Stress Free Care, formerly Keith's Transmission. Jon was so patient and understanding. He really listened to everything my husband said. Stress-Free Auto Care quoted me $4,322 for a clutch and flywheel replacement on a 2005 Honda Accord. I called three other shops in the area -- all quoted approximately $3,000 for the same job. When I asked the manager to justify the price difference, they wouldn't. Other mechanics I spoke with confirmed the labor hours were significantly inflated.
