Had such great review for this place until I had to bring my vehicle back into this place 4times for the same problem. Never got to the cause of the problem, just did replace the parts issue. Money, time and towing cost, stress with kids in the vehicle. Lost time for work ...finally called the CA Bureau of Automotive on them. Got tired of being jerked around. I've had my car into Bob's shop a few times. Mostly for oil changes and regular maintenance. The guys there are honest and very hardworking. The prices are comparable to other repair shops. Both Steve and Chris made the experience a pleasant one. They even checked that my spare tire was inflated and ready to go in case it is ever needed. I've never had another shop do that. Not even the Toyota dealers in the area.

We've used Bob's Auto Repair for over 20 years, I believe. Never had a bad job, or feel the prices were higher than the job called for. Friendly staff and very accommodating! Always on time. We've sent many friends and family members, and they've all been pleased. Sometimes it's hard to find great mechanics, and we're so thankful!

I took my ford explorer to these guys for a bad engine idle at start-up in cold temperatures. They told me that the intake manifold was plastic (true) and that it had a crack in it (False). They went on to say that you can't buy a new part anywhere (true, however used parts are available at local Pick-n-Pull car bone-yard). Times have changed The reviews are 100% correct However; look at the dates Back then was the best in all areas. Fast forward to this week year 2014 Sad to say that the shop has gone downhill and going fast. Ex brought truck in for diagnose and repair as I always have. Bill $1000 and the next trip I took it did the same thing and must have been mis diagnosed and was charged for the error? Legally the signed paper receipt covers Their part and no recourse . Excellent auto shop. A team of very experienced, professional and trustworthy mechanics. Heard about this shop from my father in law who has been going here for 25 years. It's just so rare to actual know you will be treated honestly and know they are very knowledgeable at what they do. Not cheap but you know your car will be taken care of.

I came to Bob's because of Yelp. I had my brakes inspected with Midas then I had to get second opinion. Sure enough, both of shops gave me a different evaluation and prices. It's easier to trust Bob's with Yelp's help, I had my car brakes repaired there! Thank you, too Sarah for your review as well...She runs a champ fitness center, Mission Peak Fitness. I enjoyed attending their boot camp!!

Bob, Steve, and the rest of his staff are the most honest, reasonable, kind, and skilled mechanics around. Period. I've been taking my cars to Bob since the 90s, with my very first car, and continue to do so, even though I no longer live in Fremont. Their prices are fair, the work is quality and my car is always done within the original estimated time. I can go on and on, but let me summarize with this-Bob treats his customers and their cars with respect, honesty, and integrity, I will never take my cars anywhere else.

I have been taking my car and car questions to Bob's Auto for several years. He and his crew are experts at diagnosing whatever car problem that I have. They have been able to pinpoint problems that the car dealer could not find. Conversely, when the car dealer told me that my car was in need of repairs, Bob was able to offer an honest assessment as to which maintenance/repairs were genuinely needed.
