Do yourself a favor and stay away from Stress-Free Auto Care. I went in for what should have been a straightforward A/C repair. They accepted the job without warning me about any risks or need for diagnostics. The repair took multiple days instead of one, and communication was a mess the entire time. When the car was finally returned, the A/C still didn't work. No explanation, no solution -- just finger-pointing and claims that I should have ordered a diagnostic, something they never recommended and later failed to perform... read more

I keep getting text prompts from Stress-Free Milpitas for a review so here is my experience: I went in last year and paid $1500 for all 4 rotor and brake pad sets to be replaced. A year later (last week), I noticed my brakes were grinding again, so I returned to Stress-Free. They told me BOTH of my rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced again, and quoted me about $700, claiming it was due to "wear and tear" and out of warranty. I had a really disappointing experience here. My boyfriend's car needed a tire rotation and alignment, so I called ahead to confirm their services. I spoke with a woman who took down my information and the car details. She mentioned that they offer complimentary vehicle inspections and encouraged us to come in right away, saying, "If you come now, we can do a full service and have your car ready by 5 PM." I read the reviews and thought great but personally i did not have a great experience the guy at counter checked me in did not seem to happy to be there i dropped off my car at 8am before work, did not see many cars there long story short it was 3 pm and never got a diagnose until i called 4 times, my car had 2 bad pistons it seems that they only do minor work he said they where short staffed , they just chase good reviews maybe the standards because of the reviews where too high i never got a video or the diagnose of the ... read more

This place feels like a scam. After paying 4 grand to get my sparks plug, oxygen sensor, front lower control arm, and sway bar replaced my car engine light came on 2 months later. Another mechanic told me that there is a misfire on cylinder #3 and that all my struts had gone bad. I don't know if this place uses bad cheap parts or not, but now my car is completely useless. I can't drive and will eventually have to sell my car.

I just needed a new battery and it was hard to reach so I tried these guys based on their Yelp reviews. Wow. I used the website to book an appointment. I dropped my car at 9 AM and they sent me home in a Lyft, Contacted me via text to suggest brake fluid change, oil change, two filters and fill coolant. Came in for an oil change and was greeted with a friendly service. It was my first time there and the woman that was at the front all of the questions needed and gave me a on the spot quote for some things that were going to need to be addressed. I'll let you, a lot cheaper than some of the auto shops I've been going to for my vehicle. What I liked the most is that they gave me constant updates on my vehicle and detailed on when I may need to address the issues. My check engine light came on and I immediately had my car taken into Stress-Free Auto Care. After doing a thorough check on my car and test driving it they were unable to find an issue with my car. I had just had my oil changed a few days prior to the engine light coming on which leads me to believe they did something to my car in hopes I would bring it back to them. We'll I fully trust Stress-Free Auto and their diagnosis of my car. They do great work and I will continue to do business with them!
