I recently had dinner at Sushi Sake, and even though I don't eat any seafood, I loved the food, staff, and ambiance of the restaurant. A friend and I sat at the bar and had the opportunity to chat with the man behind the sushi bar (I'm blanking on his name), and he was super friendly and actually recognized my friend, which I thought was nice. I had edamame beans, a yummy personally customized veggie roll, and hot sake. It was my first time eating there, and I would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Business response:

Hello Dr N, How brave of you to dine at our Sushi Sake and not liking seafood. We are super pleased you enjoyed your experience and thank you for taking the time to post your comments so others may see and come tryout our fabulous sushi. Super awesome and thank you, THE ROW Family

Had ayce which was okay. Everything tasted good, chef and servers were cool. Not that rice heavy, although our chef seemed to compress the nigir Chef wouldn't serve me single nigiris which I felt was frikkin weird for ayce. I would have liked to have one piece of each of the nigiri to try a little of everything, but he would only serve pairs which doesn't make sense as it's not any more or less work for him.

Business response:

Hello Roni, Thank you for your three stars and we are sorry we could not supply your request about the nigiris. We are pleased you enjoyed the majority of your meal and service. Best wishes, THE ROW Family

I've been here on several occasions and each time the sushi was just okay. The service wasn't that great either. I was sat quickly but then forgotten about at my table. It's convenient and smart to have a sushi restaurant in the casino, but I wish the service and food was better than subpar. If you have time, I suggest finding another sushi spot around Reno or Sparks instead of eating here.

Business response:

Hi Brittany, We are sorry to hear you had a less than stellar experience at Sushi Sake. Thank you for bring your dining experiences to our attention so we know where we need to improve. Please accept our sincerest apologies and hope you will give us another chance in the future. All the Best, THE ROW

Very happy with the service. When we arrived (Friday night 8:00pm) they told us there was no table for five available at the moment and the wait was indefinite. We decided to sit at the bar but we could not hear each other and informed our server we were just going to leave. She told us to hang on and see if her manager had a solution. Jeff came to help and got us a table for five without issue. I don't know why it took so long to figure out but happy we got to eat here because the food is top notch. Shout out to Jeff for he... read more

Its a small sushi bar, about 3 sushi display fridge bar wide and some tiny stand alone tables. It fronts Roxy's and you can enjoy the live music coming down from the Martini bar. Got a cabbage/cuke salad and the $29 sashimi and cal roll plate. Its shareable. The sashimi pieces were cut thick and large, but were separated by the grain easily to make smaller pieces. The Cal roll had a lot of real crab and luscious avocado pieces tightly rolled. Liked that it had more crab than rice. Served by a friendly and talkative sushi che... read more

Only leaving a four-star review because the ambiance isn't out of this world. This is primarily due to its location in the El Dorado. The sushi, however, is very good. I know it's surprising if you're from out of town, but Reno has some VERY good sushi. My parents and I come here a lot for the all-you-can-eat deal and sit at the bar. It's always more convenient and faster if you sit at the bar. If you're in downtown Reno and craving sushi, stop in here! Then, grab a drink at Roxy's afterward. There's usually live music in th... read more

The sushi is always very good and for a little over $30 you can do all you can eat. Well worth it if you can put away 3+ rolls. The place gets very busy/crowded and depending on how many people are in your party you might have to wait an hour or more. The chefs are awesome and friendly. The only reason I knocked a star off was because of the wait staff. Dylan in particular...

My friend and I came for dinner after the "Le Cirque" show and left annoyed with the service but satisfied with the food. With the show ticket you get half off your entree. The Place: This Sushi restaurant is located inside El Dorado casino, in front of the goddess water fountain. It is a small place; they have bar seating and some tables inside a fence. They tried to expand their seating outside the fence but I think is too crowded. The Food: My friend and I the All You Can Eat sushi dinner option. We sat in the bar and ask... read more

Couldn't finish this sushi - the quality of the fish just seemed so subpar. They were very friendly in the restaurant so I almost feel bad writing this. Perhaps it is just difficult to get fresh fish in this part of Nevada? But is it is definitely not an experience I would want to have again. I got several very classic rules like salmon spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura was palatable.

Business response:

Good afternoon Nick, The Eldorado is very instant about fresh fish at our sushi restaurant. Our purchasing department brings our fish in fresh daily. Please do not ever hesitate to bring a problem or issue to the attention of our staff so we may do our best to resolve the issue to your complete satisfaction. Sincerely, Chris Eldorado Resorts
