three stars for A-OK ... after our cirque paris show, we quickly headed over to this joint to see if they would honor our 50% off voucher from seeing the show. they allow you to use it for AYCE, so basically its buy one get one free. score there. Depends on what you're looking for. Was it the best sushi I've ever had? No. Was it good? Sure. What I did like about it was the location, atmosphere, and service! The 50% off of an entree with a theater ticket was a plus too!
We stumbled across Sushi Sake while headed to Roxy's Steak and Seafood. Found out we could eat off the Roxy menu and get sushi if we sat at the Sushi Sake tables. In the end we had the all you can eat sushi; which of course was filling, but also absolutely delicious. The all you can eat option means you can order from the appetizers, sushi menu and dessert menu. I walked into sushi sake on a busy Friday night expecting generic Friday night service. What I got was better than I could have ever imagined. Our server, Jeremiah was the most attentive, caring, funny and personable server I have ever had. I am confident I will never have a better server for the duration of my life. My fiancé and I dined at Sushi Sake Thursday night. Jeremiah was our server, and he was amazing! He was so incredibly genuine, friendly, and bubbly. As someone who is in the food and beverage industry, I was impressed by his sincerity and the fact that he met ever service standard. And of course, the food was amazing as always. Excellent service, portions and prices They have a great happy hour drink specials. The Ceviche Roll and Jade roll are a must try. The Ceviche Poke Bowl is out of this world and a steal for only $15.
Did not have a good experience here at all. Table was rickety and when we asked the server if she could fix it - she said she couldn't and many tables there were wonky as well. Our Server was pretty inept at her job and couldn't really care about making us happy. Edamame was OK, but needed sea salt. I don't know why this place doesn't have good reviews. This is my must visit sushi place every time I visit Reno. Good service and very fresh rolls.
Sushi Sake absolutely blew our mind!! We are seasoned sushi eaters and have tried hundreds of sushi restaurants including high priced a la cart places as well as boat served destinations.. we were so impressed by the quality and freshness of each imaginitive, well created dish.. Chef Khoun is on the front line delivering his own sophisticated rolls that range from the sweet to the spicy to the savory flavor of rolls you could only hope for in this high desert setting... absolutely amazing spot to get sushi...
