The service was excellent. Unlike other TJ-style taco shops, they seat you and take your order at your table. It was nice to be out on the front patio for lunch, but too many persistently pesky flies. The food is brought to your table and the servers are very friendly. They make tacos handmade tortillas which were delicious, but the drawbacks for me were that too much guacamole was plopped on the tacos (if you love guac, these are for you). There was so much that layered on top of the taco that it was hard to lose, messy, an... read more

As someone who has been going to the original Tacos El Franc in Tijuana for over 2 decades (since I was a teenager) this review comes with genuine disappointment. Naturally, I was excited to hear they were opening a new location, but my experience here fell far short of expectations. I even gave it two tries before writing this. My first visit was during their inauguration, which was understandably chaotic. I chalked up the off flavors to opening-day growing pains and decided to come back once things settled. Unfortunately... read more

Came on monday August 4. We got sat down on the outside area. It took 5 minutes for our waitress to come to us. Once she came to our table and was speaking to us. She got flagged by another customer and just left us. We waited another 5 minutes until she came to us again. That was very rude and unprofessional of her just to leave and not let us know. Once she came and took our order. I said I wanted 2 of cabeza with NO SALSA AND TO ADD GUACAMOLE. She looked so confuse and repeated it back and said. So NO SALSA NO GUACAMALE... read more

So over hyped and not worth it. Carne asada was abysmal and tripas were inedible. Wouldn't ever go back

I would give it a 4 for the asada but the adobada was awful. Go to el gordo instead. This place makes tacos el franc in tj look bad. Don't come here.

Food is overrated and overpriced. I'd stick to Tacos El Gordo. The adobada at El Gordo is authentic, their sauces are tastier, and the flavors are better. The only thing I'd say is better at Tacos El Franc is that they offer alcohol.

They don't offer to go options. Horrible customer service over the phone the lady seemed annoyed for me to ask questions.

Well, we tried it once and will never go back again. I mean, there was no meat on them. I would say there was about one tablespoon on each. They were flavorless and expensive. Too much hype and over rated tacos. I'd stick with Taqueria El Cino in Imperial Beach with fresh handmade tortillas and they are 2.85, plus from one taco you can make two, so sorry to say, tacos El Franc sucks!

Tacos el Franc is finally open in the Westfield (around 1) mall! Their Tijuana, Mexico location has a Michelin guide distinction. This is a nice way to try it without crossing the border. Entrance is through the mall entrance. The gate is exit only. This is a sit-down type of establishment. They will take you to a table, and a server will come by shortly to take your order. Parking is plentiful on this side of the mall. You can sit indoor or outdoor. The bathrooms inside are separated by gender. The menu is easy. Of cou... read more
