I was really hyped for this place after hearing so many good reviews, so we went all in and ordered about seven different tacos. The steak was decent, seasoned okay, but the beans really threw me off--they overpowered the meat. Maybe that's a Tijuana style thing, but personally I didn't like it. The cabeza had a nice chew and was charred well, though I can't say if that's totally authentic since I've never been to Mexico 7/10. The tripa wasn't my favorite--it felt too soggy compared to other places where it's crispier and c... read more

The standard for tacos in San Diego seems to be Tacos El Gordo. El Franc is not as good, or bad, as Tacos El Gordo.

The tacos itself are a 3/5 the adobada ones weren't that great just basic but their asada tacos are really good. That's the only reason they have a 1 star from me Just went there today their service is HORRIBLE. Let me tell you we get there and sit down at 6:51pm and around 7:03 they bring the food to us but it was incorrect not what we ordered so the guy takes the food back, then another different employee brings us back another order it was incorrect...we tell the waiter what we had ordered and we asked them to bring the c... read more

We went on labor day 2025 minutes after 11 am. We all order our food and the the food was served in parts we watched each other eating while waiting for the entire order. We also asked for 5 small plates and the attendant delivered dirty plates. I checked each one. The appeared that were used by the previous people in our table. I requested to speak to manager and my complaint was not addressed how it should of been addressed. No discount was added or an apology. I shared to manager this not the eatery I expected and wi... read more

HOLY MOLY ..... They are pricey. Asada - no flavor. Over cooked. Adobada - it's ok. Could barely taste it because it was consumed with salsa. Quesadilla - good. Very disappointed you have to pay for grilled onions and pepper. This should be complementary. I think it cost as much, if not more than a taco. Fantastic customer service though.

Had the asada tacos but they tasted bad. The meat tasted like it was dropped into the carbon ashes. The tripe tacos were good but the asada was nasty

Was in the mood for tacos so went to check it out, have tried the location in Tijuana a few times. Unfortunately, this location is not nearly as good. The tacos lacked flavor. Would not recommend based on the food alone. I will admit the service was pretty good and food came out fast, though.

Tacos just ok and expensive. Better at a food truck. Carne asada fries were good. Service was good also.

Stopped by hoping for tacos that reminded me of Mexico, but unfortunately the flavors didn't hit the mark. The carne asada was overly fatty and full of tendon, and the al pastor was dry. Suadero was decent, but the tripas tasted old and stale. The only things I genuinely enjoyed were the guacamole and the water. Service was fine, but based on the food, I won't be returning. There are better spots nearby if you're looking for authentic flavor.
