Tacos de lengua were a joke! The asada tasted like someone forgot what seasoning is -- bland, chewy, and sad. Service was just as bad, and the aguas frescas might as well have been a myth. No salsa bar, and when I asked the waitress for salsa, she looked annoyed, like I'd asked for a five-course meal. The guacamole was the only redeeming thing here, but not enough to save the experience. Definitely a skip.

Business response:

Hi Jaime, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I remember visiting your table during your meal. As you requested your tacos without salsa, onions, or cilantro, the flavor profile was definitely different from what we typically serve. We’re always happy to provide salsas and condiments on the side — just let us know! We appreciate you giving us a try and wish you all the best. Thank you for coming today and good luck!

First of all I'm a BIG fan of tacos but unfortunately I have to do a bad review on this place, this was my First and Last time I'll be going here. The taco meat seemed like if it was sitting their on a warm tray or something. Second; they don't have salsa options it's just avocado topping. 3rd the drinks are can if you order a soda and are almost room temperature. They also have horchata drink but they are already ready on a cup and not fresh out the jar. I know these Tijuana tacos spots are growing to San Diego area and I w... read more

Business response:

It is evident you didn’t go to out location. There are items in your photo that are no longer there. This is a fake review. Additionally, we give unlimited salsa upon request. Our tacos are bigger than other taquerias in the area.

I had high hopes for Tacos El Franc at Plaza Bonita, especially because of my great experience at their original spot in Tijuana and the Michelin Guide recognition--but this visit fell short. I ordered the adobada and carne asada tacos, and honestly, they were bland. The flavor just wasn't there, and the salsas weren't the same as what you'd get in TJ--which was a big letdown. Our server forgot our order and had to come back to ask again, which wasn't a huge deal, but didn't help the experience. On the plus side, the food ca... read more

The employees were friendly and welcoming. The food was ok, nothing special. We first arrived to eat in but we ended up asking if we could get it to go. They were accommodating, no problem there. However, the problem arose the next day when I realized I had left my sunglasses there. When I mentioned it to my partner he surprised me by telling me he already called and was told by a female employee that they had them. He told them he'd go down and pick them up, she said no problem. Once there they told him they didn't have ... read more

Lety tacos El Frances and Tacos El Franc in Tijuana is the same business. Additionally, I will look to see what happened with your glasses. Please send me a direct message. I need to know who you guys spoke to and when this happened and a description of the glasses. If you also remember which table number and or section you sat at that would be great. Thanks!

I've visited a couple times already, my first vosit I was a little disappointed on the service from the hostesses. We stood in the line for the bar seating after asking if we could sit since there were a couple seats open. We were instructed to stand in the bar line. We waited for 20 minutes, while they chatted. Then we see the hostess walk to the back of the long line for regular seating, asking if there where people who wanted to sit ay the bar. Umm like how was that even possible if she saw us standing in line, and bypas... read more

Tacos are average, service very questionable I order 4 tacos I got only 3 when I ask about it , the waitress said that's why I ordered instead or adding the missing taco I guess tacos el Frank doesn't care of making their customers happy won't recommend even Taco Bell has better custome service .

Went in there a weekday. Service is ok Food is supee bad. Order a carne asada, adobada, lengua and cabeza taco. The only decent taco was the carne asada one The rest of the tacos had meat thats been sitting there for days. It was dry and salty we all know dry meat. The salsa from the adobada was sour . Sour salsa means past due/ bad salsa. Reheated meat and past due salsas . Just ugly not to mention the $50 bill for 2 people. No alcochol ordered. Bad experience everything is super expensive they seem to have a high r... read more

What a disappointment. Tacos were expensive, tiny and flavorless. Carne was dry and no flavor whatsoever. We drove 40 minutes to get here. I hate to compare to others but tacos el Gordo are sooo much better. Beautiful store, nice looking brand and set up and good service.

Business response:

Hola Jenille! Something must have been wrong. This shouldn’t have happened. Let me know next time you’re down. I will take care of you personally. Thank you! Robe
