The tacos tasted good. But it is way over hyped. Don't forget we are in San Diego and there are a lot of other taco places that are on par with this as well. I dont think its a bit pricy but the quality is definately there. The food does come out fast and I came during lunch which there wasn't really a big line.

After seeing videos on instagram and that they were award winning we decided to try them out. 3 For the food, the tortillas were cold and the guacamole was a bit sour 5 Service, our waitress was amazing, fast and sweet 5 Area was clean and we were seated immediately

Had a great time on my first visit here! Got seated right away on a Monday afternoon around 2PM at the bar and got to put in my order right away with my agua fresca poured in front of me. 2 carne asada and 1 adobada came out in pretty much under 4 minutes. Tender meats, lots of toppings, and great flavor. Definitely will not be my last time here, an instant go-to food spot for me whenever I have things to buy at plaza!

This place was phenomenal! Do it, you won't be sorry. You can taste the quality- they must use only the best meats and their tortillas were perfect. Had the carnitas, mixto, asada and brisket tacos and we split a carne asada casa dilla, with a naranja drink. I would order each one of those again but the owner told me they make their carne asada fries in beef tallow... so next time we'll try that. 10/10 would recommend.

An honest opinion. Was highly recommended by the locals. Michelin star tacos. Well, the Adobada tacos stood up to what everyone was saying. Perfectly marinated and flavorful. This is the star of the show!!!! So good, yet such a small portion for $4.65. Had an Asada taco and a vegetarian taco. Asada was kind of bland, the veggie was basically an onion and cilantro taco because that's all I could taste. On the upside, service was instantaneous, way faster than a Jimmy John's!

From TJ to SD Tacos El Franc opened up a spot in National City Mall to provide their street tacos to the US. Solid spot, great food, super busy. I have heard plenty of good reviews of Tacos El Franc in TJ and wanted to try it out now that they are here in the US. I had different expectations given it is a different location than their OG. Was excited to give Tacos El Franc a try! I've been to their TJ location so when I heard they were coming to San Diego, it was a must go! The line can be long but it moves relatively quickly! They cycle through tables pretty quickly and most groups are in and out. I like how they take your order at the table so it's a less hectic experience. All of the meats I got here were tasty! Solid tacos and they don't skimp on the meat. Very good spicy and medium chipotle salsa that were perfect on the tacos. Ruben our server was friendly and took care of us. It was crowded and we waited about 30 minutes to get seated but once we were, the tacos and drinks came out very quickly. The issues I had are that you can't have the cilantro and onions on the side!
