We applied for an apartment at The Lux and Preston Oaks apartments. Both required a $150 administration fee that would be returned if denied the apartment. We have made several attempts to contact them and there has been no communication. Was accepted for the Lux apartment with a quote of $749 monthly rent, then 4 days later was told that the rent was $999. Preston oaks never communicated an acceptance or denial, later found that it was denied through the portal. We still have yet to receive a refund for either apartment for... read more
The property I stay at in **** ** has been and is a horrible experience. We have gone nearly 3 months with out proper hot water in Dec of 2023-Feb of ****. AC issues when initially moved in that took a week to fix in the middle of June. Not to mention you cant get anyone on the phone as far as property level management or even anyone in their corporate office. My apartment flooded due to the fire sprinkler systems busting. This occurred on 1/17/24 and it is currently 1/20/24. We have yet to get receive any kind of info regarding a time line of our apartment being fixed. The complex told us that it was up to us to find a place to stay and that they would not be helping with that.
As I love living at The meadows in Lakemoor, Illinois, I believe that every winter we have the most horrific experience when it comes to snow removal they know how to beautify the complex when it’s summertime to make it look beautiful and sparkling so that people will buy into their properties however, I just feel that at times they do not take considerations the residence that live here and how they manage to clear the snow every year. Honestly, moving out of this apartment was a relief. The place was a wreck – old and falling apart. Just one example - the A/C (which clogged up multiple times) was 30 years old! Bugs were everywhere, especially cockroaches, which was just gross. Plumbing was a nightmare too. Imagine not having water for over 10 days spread throughout the year! I have been in contact with this company about my deposit nothing has been return. I was let out of my lease by the property Manager and given a letter of approval of being let out. The company is trying to find every reason not to give me my deposit. The townhome was cleaned and video taped. I was told by the current acct manager that she cant give me my deposit because they issued me a check for ****** that hasn't been cashed. Don't move into an apartment owned by BH Management. They will not give you back your deposit! My son lived there for 3 years. The rent was paid every month on time. Never had to ask for an extension, He gave the 60 day notice to not renew his lease. Cleaned the apartment before he left and told the lazy front desk clerk about a hole that the maintenance had never came back to fix after a water leak. Not BBB Accredited, not surprised. They are more concerned with passing cost on to the tenants that they should be paying themselves and more concerned with silly parties hardly anyone if anyone at all attends then the tenants safety. Most areas poorly lit at night, sidewalks need work. **************** not really qualified, mostly busy on cell phones. Send emails instead of taking point on any complaints about neighbors.
Wont fix any issues. Called corporate and was ignored.I have rotten egg smell coming from my a/c had a hole in my wall exposing my unit to the outside due to a plumbing issue that they wouldnt fix until my fourth flood and nonstop sewer smell.
