The food was mediocre. The hash brown were luke warm. The pancakes were thick and like rubber, and difficult to cut.
lunch was unremarkable. I've had better there & will try it again.
I had a Rachel sandwich. I don't mind paying money for excellent food (at whatever price point), but at $13 for a straight-forward sandwich without any expensive ingredients, I expected something terrific. It was adequate but not even really good: average deli turkey rather than hand-carved turkey, barely any Russian dressing or swiss cheese, very bland cole slaw. The fries were also over-salted. On the plus side, the bread was fresh and well-toasted, the decor was attractive, and our server was very pleasant. However, given... read more
The lasagna was chewy, my wife's biscuits were inedible.
we were disappointed in Ted's. We did have a good experience reserving for a group and got the table we wanted. However it was downhill from there. Even tho the restaurant was nearly empty when we got there the service was very slow and inattentive. The food was good for the most part. I ordered corned beef and it was flavorful but beef too rubbery and chewy. My friend's hashbrowns were overcooked and brittle. My coffee was cold when it was served. Ted's has a long way to go to live up to its promise.
The hostess was frazzled and rude. The waiter spilled water on me. We weren't seated until 15 minutes until after our reservation. There was a long line of customers waiting to put their name on the list and the hostess was no where to be found.
Food mediocre, service lacking - they forgot several items and brought several we did not order. My soda was refilled without my asking, however, which was nice. Really, really loud at lunch time, so difficult to have a conversation at the table.
While the idea of this restaurant is fun, and some of the execution is great (like the old B&W movies playing on one wall of the large dining room), the food and service were lackluster and the noise was stupendous. Our brussels sprouts with blue cheese were underdone and the ribs were almost inedible, they were so fatty and almost meatless.
Had a large group. The wait staff messed up most of the orders and completely lost some people's orders. Service was slow and took over an hour to order. Restaurant was loud.
