We had originally gone to the Ted's in Reston, which was newer and nicer inside and had a different menu. We wanted to bring friends and DC is closest to them. The HVAC was also being challenged by the recent heatwave. The actual service was good but we felt rushed and had to ask for drinks and water, etc. Issues that should have been automatic. Service was awful even though the place was empty. Food was adequate at best.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any restaurant. We had an 8:00pm reservation and were not seated until at the very least 8:30pm. We received one excuse after another as to why we weren't seated and treated very badly by the front of the house specifically. We were told that we didn't arrive on time for our reservation, which was untrue. I won't recommend Ted's to anyone and rest assured that I won't ever return to any of their restaurants.
We had made a reservation as we are visiting on vacation when we arrived we were told that our table would take 15min to get ready. 30 minutes later my husband asked why we hadn’t been seated and they finally brought us to a table. Service was slow. Club sandwich was fine. Milkshakes were delicious as was the cake for dessert. Don’t bother with the Salmon.

My steak was overcooked, they forget my eggs, it took 25minutes once we were seated to get a drink, and the waitress didn't come back after bringing us our drinks, despite checking on other tables. She wasn't even the person who brought our food. My friend said her chicken was also over cooked and rubbery. We've been there many times before and usually they are quality, but this was a truly bad experience

Our server was busy eating breakfast at the bar instead of serving us therefore our experience was very negative. I will not being coming back to this restaurant chain. I suggest Founding Farmers - it's slightly more expensive but the food is better and the service is better (b/c it literally could not be worse).

Amazingly almost every part of our order was wrong from the salad to 2 out of 3 entrees, after repeating it twice when the waiter originally "wrote it down." He wasn't terribly apologetic and didn't even offer a discount or free dessert or anything! It was super disappointing because I had out of town guests that were excited to eat here and we could have gone to a million other places and had a better value and better quality meal :(
The food was bland and the service was awful. Great atmosphere, but I won’t be back.
